Madness is closer than you think
Jesse, a returning Vietnam veteran plagued by nightmares returns home to a shattered reality as he is roped into a bank robbery to pay a debt. He soon finds himself in the cross hairs of a lunatic as he looks for refuge in the mountains of North Carolina.
Meanwhile a fire rips through a mental hospital deep in the North Carolina Mountains which leaves many to wonder who lit the match. The local sheriff needs to piece together the clues before the body count rises and topples the town of Harvest Springs.
The fate of seven souls collide with shattering results at an isolated mansion of a millionaire recluse.

I received an ARC of this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
Definitely not the ending I was expecting it to be. All the scenes played on my mind like a movie and blew my imagination beyond expectations. A classic thriller.

While the Vietnam angel made me feel it might seem dated this is a good thriller you could easily see on the screen. I enjoyed the variety of characters and how they all played a vital part in the overall story. Not your usual super hero vet but rather just a vet trying to get by and the law trying to figure it all out in time.
