OMG! I’ve just finished this unputdownable book and feel like I’ve been wrung out…….. I read the last 15% or so, so quickly as I wanted to know how the story ends. I really don’t want to give any spoilers or clues as to how this wonderful book ends, so it’s quite difficult to write a review! Suffice to say, I fell in love with Gemma and Finn’s story which is beautifully told, bringing both of these damaged, likeable and totally in love people, to life. The story bounces along nicely and picks up a pace as we find out why Finn disappears. You won’t be disappointed, just don’t read it at night and expect to be able to put it down, to finish in the morning…….

This was an unlikely heart-searching read about Gemma who refuses to accept she has been jilted by Finn, insisting he would never have abandoned her and adamant something is wrong with him in spite of increasing evidence otherwise. Told over six days now and back during various stages of their relationship it’s clear Finn has serious commitment issues and it’s so hard to see why Gemma would be so convinced otherwise but her unwavering conviction is astonishing and when the devastating truth is revealed it’s a real surprise. This was an unexpected delight and very original and refreshing read, 9/10

Gemma and Finn did not call in love at first sight, it was a bumpy road. But today is their wedding day. Finn doesn’t show up; Gemma is devastated. His passport id missing and no one has seen him since he left his stag the night before. How could he have left her? Gemma is insistent he wouldn’t, despite all investigation indicating he has. A real page turner, a bit like a roller coaster but a great story.

I absolutely loved this book! I raced through it, wanting to find out what happened, and finished it from start to finish in a couple of hours.

Gemma and Finn are in love. But when Gemma turns up to the church on their wedding day, there is no sign of Finn. She is convinced that he would never have left her and she is determined to find out where he is. So over the next six days Gemma begins her search for Finn and she will be shocked by what she discovers.

A great story line which pulls at the heartstrings. A roller coaster of a ride which is well worth a read.

Fabulous read, raced through this book in one day, definitely one to take with you to the beach this summer.

This was a fantastic book that I couldn’t put down! I had to keep reading to find out what happened. I can’t say much without spoiling it so I won’t say anything except make sure you grab a copy of this book to read, you won’t be disappointed.

An absolute page turner - ploughed through it in an afternoon. Vibrant characters, smiles and heartbreak abound. An absolutely fantastic read.

On the day that should be the happiest of her life, Gemma is left waiting at the church for Finn, her fiancé, to arrive. She is the only person who doesn’t think he has jilted her, and when she tries to report him as a missing person, is told she can’t report him as missing. Evidently most people who disappear like this come back within a week. But Gemma is determined to find out what happened to Finn.

I really enjoyed this love story and found it very hard to put down. I loved both Gemma and Finns characters, and the storytelling is very easy to read. It did at the start feel as though it was taking a while to get going, but that soon changed. I desperately needed to know how the author was going to be able to finish this book, and couldn’t put it down until I knew. A read for all seasons.

What a fantastic read.When Gemma first meets Finn she takes an instant dislike to him and they don't get off to the best of starts and their relationship takes many turns before they finally get together .When the unthinkable happens on what should be the happiest day of her life her love is tested as she tries to discover what has happened to him .Dont want to spoil the story as it will keep you gripped from the beginning and as the story plays out there are lots of things that come to light about the past but Gemma never gives up believing in him. A story of family. Hope, friendships and most of all love.Beautifully written and I highly recommend it read it in two days I couldn't put it down. A 5🌟read

Nothing weirder than opening a new book to discover a main character has the same full name as you 🤣 that bizarre experience aside, I found this such a moving, attention grabbing & thought provoking book.
Gemma is left devastated at what should have been the happiest moment of her life, with her loyal Dad and her trusted friend by her side she tried to unearth the truth about what has happened to her fiance, Finn, and over the course of 6 days sifts through the incriminating evidence left in the presence but also flashbacks of their years together, to come to a revelation that is shocking and dramatic in its conclusion.
If I was to sum up the contents, then this is of course a love story, but it's also about finding your soulmate through the ups & downs of life, the tragedies, the twists of fate, the patterns of behaviour that take us through our early adulthood as we discover ourselves. It's also about friendship, the strength of your faith in someone during challenging times and about the complexities of relationships.
A great book to devour and let take you along for the journey.

Dani has done it again. The skill of being able to write about characters and make them believable is great. When Gemma meets Finn nothing seems to go right for them both. After 18 months apart they decide to get married. Finn doesn't turn up. Gemma refuses to believe he would just leave her and sets out to find him. Despite everyone telling her otherwise. The book shows the lengths we will go to for someone we love, especially if you have different ideas of what you want from life.

Gemma fears that she is late for her interview as a journalist and when a stranger seamlessly steals the parking space she was about to drive into she is furious with him, but he just laughs it off and rushes away. This is the start of the novel and I don’t think anyone could ever have foreseen that these two characters would eventually become soulmates. Love is such an unpredictable, indefinite and nebulous emotion. They do meet again and their feelings and attraction to one another is evident. They fizz with desire for each other. They date just a few times when Finn delivers the bad news. He has sold his coffee shop and the next day he is flying off to Australia, his homeland, and is going to try his hand at becoming an author.
Gemma is really shocked by Finn’s news and of course she doesn’t want him to leave. He is adamant that he must return to Australia. This has been his ambition; he always knew it would come to this. It was the wrong time but the right partner. They don’t swap contact details so she is shocked when he sends her periodic post cards. Her hopes are raised when she books three weeks holiday and suggests she visit him for her holiday, but sadly Finn knocks her back.
Time passes and Finn returns to the UK, now a famous author. Gemma goes to a signing and her heart aches for him. He signs her copy of his novel and Gemma is broken: he didn’t recognise her. But when she opens his novel she feels positive about their future. He has left her his phone number. Her heart sings, she adores him and she would do anything to be with him.
It is happening, they are a couple, everything has turned around and she just knows they will stay together. Time passes and their relationship becomes even more intense. At long last they are engaged and planning their wedding. She totally believes in him, until the worst thing she can imagine happens. He does not show up on their wedding day. She doesn’t believe he has jilted her, she knows he would never do that to her. She is worried that something dreadful has happened. Every day she tries to get the local police to start a search, but without evidence they refuse. She makes posters and attaches them in prominent places. She is the only one who keeps faith. For the next six days she ignores the sceptics, but she becomes increasingly worried. This is Gemma’s worst nightmare and she begins to wonder if she should let go.
Dani Atkins is a wonderful storyteller well known for writing emotional love stories. This novel is elevated by the addition of another genre: a mystery story that must be solved. The characters are skilfully created and developed so that the reader becomes invested in what happens to them. My two favourite characters are both Finn and Gemma. They are crazy for each other. Gemma is loyal, brave and enthusiastic. Finn is tender, loving and gentlemanly. The storyboard is fantastic and enthralling. With the mystery genre comes thrills and spills, tension, suspense and some shocking twists in the story, none more imaginative and nerve-wracking than the very last brilliant and riveting, electrifying dramatic swan song. I LOVED it.

A beautiful love story with some twists. I did not see the ending . Wow. It was the kind of book you could not put down.. It moved back and forward in time which I am not always a fan of but it worked well.I loved the police inspector and Gemma’s love for Finn was so strong. A perfect read

Dani Akins does it again! Wow, what a book. I was hooked from the very first pages. I cried, I laughed and I hoped.
I didn’t not see the ending at all. Beautifully written and one which will stay with me.

I finished reading Six Days in only a couple of days; I was drawn into the story from the beginning and thought that is was a very good read.
The story begins on what is meant to be the wedding day of happy couple Gemma and Finn, but Finn doesn't turn up to the church, leaving everyone but Gemma to believe that he has done a runner.
Gemma refuses to believe that he would do something like that to her, and she thinks there must be a more sinister reason for him not turning up.
The story reverts back and forth through time, and by doing so, the reader is given insight into the couples' relationship from when they first met (no love at first sight here!), to the highs and lows they experienced over the years. In the present day, the story follows Gemma across six days as she tries to piece together what happened to Finn.
Dani Atkins does an excellent job of keeping the reader interested by dropping tasty little crumbs of information that have you doubting Finn's actions, leaving you to wonder if he really did leave Gemma at the alter.
This is a lovely story about not giving up on those you love, and trusting your gut instincts.
As a side note, I adored Gemma's father and also her best friend; two of my favouite characters.

6 Days takes us on Gemma’s journey to find her fiancé. After being left at the altar all Gemma’s friends and family are convinced her fiancé Finn has had cold feet and took the cowards way out. Gemma cannot and will not believe this of Finn and is convinced something dreadful must of happened. This story takes us day by day from the wedding until day six, we find out about their relationship and it moves from past to present seamlessly.
The police are not prepared to take any action, and the evidence mount’s to show Finn must of just taken off without a word.
Gemma will not and cannot believe this she is adamant that Finn loved her deeply as she him and he would not put her through this trauma.
As each day passes Gemma’s progress to finding Finn weakens by the hour but her determination does not, still sticking to her unwavering belief and trust.
By the fifth day my heart was pounding, I just had to know what had happened and started speed reading each page, after giving myself a good talking to I stopped went back a bit and started again so I could savour this book and let it take its own time in unveiling the truth.
A wonderful uplifting book, a rollercoaster of a read, at times I felt I was reading a thriller as well as a love story.
I love all this authors work but she has surpassed herself with this riveting beautiful story.

This is the first book I've read by Dani Atkins and I absolutely loved it!

I was gripped from the first chapter and finished it in a day. A heart-breaking but ultimately heart-warming story about the strength of true love and the lengths two people truly in love will go to to save each other.

This was a delightfully original love story.

Highly recommended.

I was intrigued by the book from the very start, to the point I was coming up with theories in my head as to what had happened to Finn! The suspense was held very well in the book and it absolutely kept me interested.

A very well written book, I'll definitely be recommending this to others once it is released.

Gemma knows that she and Finn are destined to be together. They are soulmates. But then, on their wedding day, he never arrives at the church. Gemma is convinced Finn wouldn't abandon her like this, even though he has disappeared once before. But back then he had a reason. She feels sure something terrible has happened, but no one else is convinced. Even the police aren't concerned, telling Gemma most people who disappear usually turn up in a week... assuming they want to be found, that is. For the next six days Gemma frantically searches for Finn, even though every shocking revelation is telling her to give up on him. Before long, even she begins to doubt her own memories of their love.

Every time I pick up a book by Atkins I know I am in for an emotional rollercoaster and I love it! 'Six Days' is achingly beautiful and captured my heart from the beginning. The love Gemma has for Finn just flows off the page and I was immersed in their story and finding out the truth. Gemma is a very strong character, even I was doubting Finn when she wasn't.

This is an emotional read but there are happy moments as well. Atkins writes this in the present as well as flashbacks to inform us of the history between Gemma and Finn. This was a very engaging way of telling their story and kept leaving me wanting more.

I just loved reading 'Six Days'. The characters were perfect, their love strong and the emotion powerful.

I immersed myself in the lives of Gemma and Finn and invested in their friendship, relationship, careers and travels. “Six Days” isn’t a sickly sweet, predictable romance, but an invitation to share the stories and witness a depth of emotional connection between two people who are drawn together. I really enjoyed the thoughtful way that Dani Atkins guides us through the story at a comfortable pace, and finishes on a crescendo of emotion that left me far too emotional when I’m isolating, and just needed a hug, and a reminder that it’s not real…. My recommendation, do not choose this book if you expect to read a chapter and put it down again…you’ll want to keep going… It’s difficult to précis the book without spoilers: Boy meets girl / Girl recognises boy after a significant period of time passes / Boy and Girl reconnect, fall in love….Girl has loving Dad and a Best Friend / Girl’s gut feeling is tested…. This book had me well and truly hooked.

I couldn’t put it down. I felt like I was going through all the emotions with Gemma and kept flip flopping between what I thought had happened to Finn.

A really great book that kept a tight grip of my heart strings the whole way through.

Considering that the book is about two soulmates, I wasn't expecting it to start with the bride being jilted at the alter.

The book alternates between the past and present. In the present Gemma tries to track down Finn with the help of her father and best friend. In the past we read about their unorthodox journey towards married life. As the two timelines start to merge I did start to wonder if Gemma had been deluding herself, and that Finn had done a runner. I was already hooked, but at this point in the book I could not turn the pages fast enough as I raced to find out if there would be a happy ever after or not.

I laughed, I swooned and I cried big fat tears reading this book and loved every minute of it. I would like to thank the publishers and NetGalley for the advance copy in return for an honest review.

This is another great Dani Atkins book. I loved the characters and the story line. The suspense had me reading well past bedtime and the ending was great. Would have given 6 stars if I could!

This was surprisingly emotional actually. I was prepared for a light story but Finn and Gemma really tugged at my heartstrings. There's romance here but also a story of perserverance and hope against the odds. Ended up reading the whole thing in one go and it's definitely made me feel like I'd seek out other Dani Atkins books. Thoroughly recommend.

When Gemma's fiance Finn doesn't turn up to their wedding she is devastated. Why would he do that when everything seemed to going so well? Something isn't right and she decides to look for him to find out answers. When she discovers that he has cleared out his flat and withdrawn his savings from their joint account she starts to revaluate their relationship. Is history repeatibg itself? Did he get cold feet and flee to Australia or could he be in trouble of some sort? I found this book a little difficult to get into at first, as Finn's character came across as a bit arrogant, but i'm glad I persevered as once the mystery started to unravel  I wanted to know more and couldn't  put the book down!

I really enjoyed this book. It begins with us meeting Gemma who is about to get married to Finn ... but then he doesn't turn up on his wedding day and we spend the next 6 days while she tries to find out why he has disappeared and where he is.

I loved how the books flicks between past and present and we go back to the time when they first met.

I also really got to like the other characters and relationships they had with her best friend Hannah and dad. Especially how they both treat this differently but at the same time are both on her side.

This is a heartwarming book about true love, trust, heartbreak and hope.

I will be recommending this book and looking out for more from Dani

Oh my gosh that was a rollercoaster of a ride of emotions. I devoured this book in one sitting it’s so well written that once you start it’s impossible to put down, with characters you’ll love from the start at times you’ll want to shout at them then hug them the next. If you’re going to read one Romance book this year then make sure its this one you will not be disappointed.

This story had me hooked from the beginning, it is well written and rolls along at a nice pace to keep me interested. There is a lot of emotion in this book, starting with Gemma standing at the church wondering where the hell her fiance is. Dani Atkins set the scene really well and I could picture the looks of family and friends and onlookers as the clock ticked on and still no bridegroom. The story switches between the present day and the couple's past, which gave me a real insight into the couple's characters.

I really loved Gemma's loyalty, faith and tenacity, especially in the face of everyone else being convinced Finn had changed his mind., even the police aren't concerned. She is determined to find out what happens and luckily, will not give up. Finn grew on me once I learned more about his history. I thought the characters were really well written and very believable.

I found it hard at times to put this book down, especially as the story neared its conclusion, day six, I was desperate to find enough time to just read it without interruption and find out what happened! I can definitely recommend this story.

Dani Atkins is a great writer and all of her books are full of emotions - this one is no exception but for me this was not one of my favourites from her.

I did enjoy the flashbacks that built up the story of Gemma and Finn but found some of the details just a touch too unbelievable. That said the plot kept me hooked and I wasn't sure how things were going to turn out right up until the end and then everything slotted into place and careful hints dropped earlier on suddenly made sense.

Overall an enjoyable and well written love story that is full of suspense and had me invested throughout.

A true love story based on the relationship between Finn and Gemma - full of twists and turns and kept me turning pages with enthusiasm - the last couple of chapters my heart was racing as I could not wait to reach the conclusion. A great read

Gemma and Finn are soulmates and destined to be together. But when she is jilted at the altar on her wedding day. It is only her that believes that something has happened to him. She knows in her heart that he wouldn’t just leave. But her dad and her best friend Heather and the rest of her family and friends think that he has had cold feet like previous instances in their relationship.
So, she tries and reports him missing to the Police but, the police says that she hasn’t got enough evidence that he is missing. She can only report him missing after 7 days. So, the story starts for Gemma to find Finn in the next 6 days.
The story goes back in forth in time, revealing the highs and lows of their relationship and the events that happened which determined what happened in the days building up to her Wedding Day. Has Finn just left and didn’t love her at all or has something bad happened to him and he loves her after all?

The is a great love story, involving the ups and downs and complexities in a relationship and a turning point in it to find that they are the one. It such an emotional book. I loved every minute it. 5 stars from me.

When Finn fails to turn up at the Church for their wedding, Gemma is devastated. But unlike her guests, she is convinced that something has prevented him. His flat is cleared of all his belongings, his car is missing, his best man has been unable to contact him. The police, though, are unwilling to become involved, saying that it looks as though he has chosen to disappear. After a week, they say, it is fairly certain that he will not want to be found. So Gemma determines to spend the six times left of that time trying to find him.

I enjoyed this book very much. I thought the characters were particularly well created. They had definite personalities and they interacted believably with one another. Until halfway through the book, I was completely on board with the plot.

But from then on I itched to edit it. The pacing began to go off and the balance of narrating voices went really askew. Most of the story was told from Gemma's perspective, some in flashback, some as it unfolded, but towards the end Finn's voice joined in and that jarred with me. I think we needed to hear from him earlier. And the ending felt flat. It was too rushed and not dramatic enough to warrant the build-up. And, on a personal note, I was irritated by yet another fictional female character behaving like an idiot and putting herself in danger.

Will she get the result she wants and find Finn or wil she have to give up looking for him forever.

Brilliant book from Dani.

Such a brilliant book! I was hooked from the first page and finished it in 24 hours. I don't want to say anything about the plot as it will give the game away, but there are plenty of twist and the characters are so real. A must read.

Six Days opens with Gemma on her wedding day, she's completely in love and can't wait to marry Finn... the only problem is he doesn't show up to the wedding.

What follows is an examination of their relationship as Gemma desperately tries to find out what went wrong and why he would do this to her. Flashbacks take us from the moment they met, to right up before the wedding. Gemma is convinced there must be an explanation as to why he didn't show, and as you read and fall in love with Gemma and Finn you'll likely believe that too.

A gorgeous book with such heart, I absolutely loved it.

Gemma is convinced something has happened to him but no-one else believes her. How can she make them see Finn like she does? However as the days go by even she is beginning to doubt herself.

I forgot the premise of this novel when I turned to reading it so it was all a surprise. The story of Gemma being left at the altar unfolds, her frantic worry that turns into deep heartbreak and a sense that something is deeply wrong while around her all believe he's a love rat who has form. By around 75% through, I stopped caring because it was clear that Finn is a love rat and I couldn't engage with a woman who couldn't see it. And then, well, you'll have to read for yourself.

This novel does mix, if briefly, a first person narrative with a third, a style which seems to be gaining in popularity. and I'm not sure I really like it. I can see why it's done, but I'm not entirely convinced.

I read this in three days; it was gripping and one has to know what happened to mean Finn didn't attend his own wedding, and, in that, the novel becomes more detective story than romance.

I enjoyed it and though it isn't the kind of novel to change your life, it will make a few days of it better.

She’d had a feeling in the pit of her stomach since she’d not received a reply from her husband to be that something wasn’t right. Her groom not turning up was the very last thing she expected.

Gemma is so sure Finn would never leave her but as she checks things out it’s looking more and more likely that he has. Heartbroken but in need of answers, whatever they may be, Gemma starts to look deeper into Finn’s disappearance.

Oh my goodness! What an emotional rollercoaster this book was. From the moment I started reading it I knew it was going to be a book I couldn’t put down. You are taken on a journey of now, when Gemma is looking for her wayward fiancé and back to the time when they first met. I love how it told their story and how Gemma refused to give up searching, no matter what the outcome. This book is so addictive and I would 100% recommend it. Brilliant.

I loved this book so much, I just did not want it to end. Wasn't sure it was 'my' type of book but I devoured it and was totally immersed in the story and lives of Gemma and Finn. Please do read it and enjoy!
