Description

SOMETIMES THE FLASHY LIFE WE SEEK ISN’T AS GLAMOROUS AS OUR DESIRES LEAD US TO BELIEVE

Set in the western United States in the mid 1960’s, this debut story of historical fiction by T.S. Fairbanks centers around four lifelong friends from the wrong side of the tracks, looking for a way out of their impoverished environment and into the glamorous world of success.

Follow the journey of four young boys with a happenstance friendship whose lives are forever connected by their humble beginnings. Sharing ambition, hope, mistakes and detrimental loss, this is a coming of age story about risking everything in the hope of having it all.

T.S. Fairbanks brings us a riveting reminder that our eyes could lead us to faulty assumptions if our view is distorted by them being closed.

Warning: This book contains graphic sex scenes and violence.

I didn't know what to expect from this book but I enjoyed it. The wrting style was good and really easy to follow and engage, I liked the tone and pacing of the book. The characters were all well developed and the descriptions and imagery within the book were vivid and graphic. I will say that if people dont like reading about violence then this book might not be for them, but I enjoyed it and it didn't bother meenough to make the book unenjoyable
