Description

Where is little Cassie Walker?

Laura Walker is truly content. With her husband Dominic, she is celebrating their daughter Cassie’s seventh birthday, with no idea that the dark past is about to reappear in the most cruel and dramatic fashion.

Two brothers are found brutally murdered in Birmingham. That’s the start. Somebody’s lover is dead, whilst those responsible walk around unpunished. While they go on living the dream with their happy home life, somebody is left to endure an unendurable loss. That same somebody will right that wrong.

Laura might think that life is sweet, but terror and tragedy are coming. She will have to face up to the awful impossible reality of her daughter’s abduction. When the police seem to be getting nowhere, something else is needed. But what?

Well written with a compelling storyline and well developed characters. A gripping story that had good pacing and twists and unpredictability. Definitely worth reading.

Good book! This book had suspense, intrigue, and many twists and turns! I like the way the author incorporated covid into the book, I usually want to stay away from that subject but the way the author did it was just a tiny bit, and I liked that! I will definitely recommend reading this book as it was well worth reading! The storyline was very interesting and kept me glued to my kindle! Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for sharing this book with me!

Laura might think that life is sweet, but terror and tragedy are coming. She will have to face up to the awful impossible reality of her daughter’s abduction. When the police seem to be getting nowhere, something else is needed. But what? The first half I found slow, the pace picked up in the 2nd half. It ended stronger.
