Description

A sweet, funny, relatable coming-of-age story from bestselling author Beth Reekles, author of The Kissing Booth - perfect for fans of Beth O'Leary and Emily Henry.

Luna, Rory and Jodie are supposed to be having the time of their lives. Instead they're all completely bloody miserable.

Luna thought her first year at uni was perfect - until her relationship broke up, and she realised she's her old school friends might be ghosting her. She's never felt so lonely.

Rory's passion is art (and promoting it on her social media), but she wants to fit in with her sensible family, so she's signed up to study law. It sounds like the most boring thing on earth.

And as for Jodie - she's put her all into getting top marks at uni, but she can't remember the last time she had a night out - or a date. Her life is great on paper, but she's exhausted. Is this the right path for her after all?

In desperate need of an escape, the girls book themselves on a holiday that's meant to be perfect for solo travellers. But the idyllic resort of Casa Dorada is actually a digital detox retreat - which means NO PHONES! And that's not even the biggest disaster waiting for them . . .

Will it be a summer the girls will never forget - or one they'd rather not remember?

Beyond excited to read, review, and acquire this book, I love the inclusive cover and how there are relatable storylines involving such a diverse group of girls. I thought they were very relatable to listen to almost like chatting with your girlfriends. It was a great book to escape into especially with the phone detox I knew it would be an adventure

A really fun summer read which is exactly what you expect from the author. Brilliantly written with some fun chapters. A strong storyline and some sunshine.

Quintessential Beth Reekles - playful and fun, but with plenty of heart and emotion in there for good measure. A beautiful coming-of-age story that makes for a perfect summer read.

Perfect summer read!
Really enjoyed the trio and their insights into “the holiday from hell”. There was a good mix of funny moments and anxiety fuelled conversations. Each girl had their own issue to solve and they came together to help each other through it. I feel this would be good for those who are contemplating uni and briefly touches into why it’s not right for everyone. I also appreciated that the romance aspect wasn’t too much and ultimately a great story of finding those friendships of a lifetime.

I was really happy to be able to read an advanced copy of this book. Having read a number of books by Beth Reekles before, I hoped this would be just as enjoyable and I wasn't disappointed! In fact, I think I enjoyed this more than the others. The main characters and their friendship were relatable as was the setting - it really made wish it was time for the summer holidays already. Perfect for by the pool - I will be recommending this to our KS4 students as a summer read.
