This is a lovely little story about Woodbury the boat builder and how he was able to solve the problem that he faced with compassion and gentleness.

Woody loved his seaside home and his occupation, which was perfect for him - building boats with his skillful hands. And he was happy enough to let the little mice that played in his workshop continue to do so. Until they began raiding his food stores, when he realized he would have to take action.

But using a traditional mousetrap was so cruel that it made Woody terribly sad after he had captured one that way. To cleanse and settle his spirit, he went for a sail, and somehow the solution came to him there on the open seas.

This book conveys the importance of compassion and creativity in dealing with the problems that we face in our day to day lives. It also demonstrates the healing power of nature on the human spirit, and the importance of recognising that the lives of other creatures also hold great value.

I loved it, and I think that it is a great book to share with the young children in your life. Five stars for this one!

This was an overall cute story that carried important messages. The story focuses on the importance of compassion and the chance to enhance the world, one idea at a time. Understanding and allowing yourself to feel your emotions, especially towards another living creature, was also a great message. The story is fast paced and has pictures inserted through out. Recommend to you and your littles. 4⭐️

“All of the answers can be found in the calmness of the endless sea. Just climb aboard and set sail, then you too shall be free.”

I very much appreciated reading Where Mice Meet the Sea. This story went straight to my heart. Young or old anyone who reads this can benefit from this story. The Author does a great job by making you feel like you are right there and at points it felt like I was the main character. A good book to have great conversation with little ones. I wish I had it to read when I was little. This is the type of book I will go out and buy a bunch of copies to hand out to friends and family. I feel like one day this will be a classic. Highly recommend 5 out of 5 stars.
