Home alone? Think again...
Anya is enjoying a relaxing bath when she hears a noise in the roof. Through the open bathroom door, she sees the attic hatch swing open, and a masked figure drops to the floor. Thirty seconds later, Anya is dead.
Across town, Anya's old school friend, Julia, sees an online video of a masked figure climbing out of an attic. She suddenly realises why the footage is eerily familiar. It was filmed inside her house.
Why would a stranger target Julia? Unless of course, it's not a stranger at all...
No secret is safe in this brand new twisty thriller from Andrea Mara.

What a read!!!
The opening chapter terrified and captivated me in equal measure and I was hooked. To the point that I had to go and hide in my room ( in daylight because I was too spooked to read this at night)) and read the rest of this in one go. A delightful Sunday, well spent.
,
This had all of the trademarks I have come to expect from Mara's books- intricate plotting, brilliantly paced, unputdownable and impossible to predict but there was also a different vibe to her previous books. As well as the aforementioned components, there was a really compelling back story and brilliantly realistic characters. I was so invested in the story of these friends and of their earlier lives and I really loved how all the different strands came together.
Another brilliantly propulsive read from the Queen of Irish crime fiction. Hugely recommend this one , you'll never look comfortably at your attic door again.
5 star.

Andrea has done it again and this time, she has turned the dial way up on the creepy factor and it was bone-chillingly brilliant! I got to about 40% and was eyeballing my attic on my way to bed. At one point I was convinced I had it worked out but no: the twists were flawless. The pace was perfect, fast without being rushed and the twisty plot had me hooked - I finished the book within 24 hours. It’s possibly my favourite of Andrea’s so far - definitely more creepy than her last three. A fantastic and addictive read!
