Cute book for little ones. Shows the boys experiencing life and the faces they make. Good illustrations. I received an advanced review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

This Is My Face is a beautiful colorful illustration that includes representation to POC in this book! The book follows two boys in a new game this time as their Dad challenges them to make as many faces as they can. Throughout the book, different faces are showcased with the emotions that matches the facial expression. This book is a great tool that can help kids to identify which emotion they are feeling and how facial expressions are important when expressing that emotion!

One of the reasons I enjoy kid's books is because I feel most of the time the messages aren't just for the kids, but for the adults as well.

Also, most times, they are fruitful lessons or a good reminder of what it takes to be a decent human being who is aware that every little bit you do is magic. (Yes, I was listening to Sting earlier)

I also love that the author was inspired by true life events ~ his kids being the protagonists!

A very sweet look at emotions in a way that young children can understand, perfect for a classroom setting when teaching about emotional regulation and the zones.

I really loved this book. There are many books on feelings for kids and it was refreshing to read a new take. By focusing on the boys faces it brought such a relatable factor for kids. The message of being yourself and not changing for others is so powerful and can’t be said enough. The illustrations were clear, bright and fun to look at. My 6-year-old daughter read this book to me and thought that it was fun.

As a mum I thought that it was a good book to encourage kids to be true to themselves and not to hide away who they are and it did it in a playful and fun way too.

I loved the fact that the book was in rhyme too which made it even more fun to read

It is 5 stars from me for this one, a good read about being yourself

This book gets all the thumbs up from grandchildren! Rhyming to learn about facial features and feelings makes it so much fun!

Perfect book for learning about emotions. I like the ending where you can draw your own expressions. This story would also be cute paired with a mirror and have your child make the different faces while reading the book.

What a fun little book. I read this to my 6 year old who really enjoyed it. He loved that one of the boys (Landen) has a name very close to his (Lynden). It prompted him to show me all his cheeky, silly faces and we had a laugh. Highly recommend from my son

This Is My Face is such a cute book with wonderful narrative and illustrations to help children identify and name their emotions.

As a kindergarten teacher passionate about social/emotional learning, I am always looking for books regarding emotions and how we express them. This book absolutely fits the bill!

There are many things I love about this book:
- first and foremost, the POC representation. The story revolves around a Black father playing a game with his two sons - how many emotional faces can they make? The representation of black characters, black families, and black fathers in children's literature is extremely lacking, so this is a very important feature of the book. This is exactly the type of book I look for to include in my classroom library.
- the fun, colorful illustrations that bring visual interest.
- the rhyming scheme makes the book fun and engaging for children.
- the activities in the back of the book - this provides an opportunity to expand on the information from the book and creates a lasting learning experience. I would absolutely use it for a classroom lesson in which we read the book, practice the emotion faces with partners, play a face recognition game, and then make our emotion face posters!

Highly recommend this book for parents and teachers of young children to increase social/emotional learning and diversity on the bookshelf.

I love how this author is inspired by his kids. In this book, kids see the different faces they make when they have different experiences. It looks like they may have caused some of the faces, as one of the brothers appears to have startled the other. This was really cute and it's good for kids to learn about how to read other people.

What a charming book! I liked how the author used pictures to show different feelings. It's a helpful book for kids to express and understand their emotions, which I think is important for their growth. The interactive pages at the end of the book were a nice addition, encouraging young readers to talk about their own feelings visually.

My 8 year old son really enjoyed this book.. . It helped him understand his emotions are valid and that it's okay to have different types of emotions whether or not you're sad or happy. It was easy for him to read all by his self. The I enjoyed is him understanding his emotions and all types of emotions are okay and learning how to express his emotions..

Ok i love this and this was so cute! I love how informative this book is to teach children about their emotions. It will definitely kept them engaged with the rhyming, beautiful illustrations, and interactive activities at the end of the book. My hyperactive 4 year even stopped to listen and read along with me.

Speaking of the end of the book, i just love how the kids are instructed to point to how they’re feeling to help open up dialogue for learning. I love the boxes for them to draw what they think each emotions looks like to them.

Definitely recommend for teachers to put into their classrooms.
