This series is one of my favorites, so I wanted it to be longer but at least I got another taste of the Blood Coven World and am looking forward to the next book. This was just a tease.
Arianna (Ari) is celebrating becoming a full-fledged Firebrand with members of her team. She caught the attention of Daire, an incubus who considers her common, boots, shorts and overall messy but it doesn’t stop him from approaching her. Ari finds him stuck-up, pompous and apparently very, very rich.
Ari gives into Daire when he decides to grab her into a corner and pleasure her. She doesn’t complain until she is given a mission to protect Daire at a huge business gathering. He sends clothes to every member of the team working the protection, insists they get groomed, wear acceptable shoes and be less of an eyesore than usual.
Ari is assigned as Daire’s hostess and for an incubus who insists she is not his type and is common he can’t keep his hands off her. When fire breaks out Ari and the other Firebrands are tasked with getting everyone out safely and in doing so, she uses her magic to the point where she is barely able to make it out. With everyone safe suspicion falls on Awakening Dawn and their leader Cerberus, and if you are a fan of this series then those names are very familiar to you.
Ari’s commander assigns her to go home with Daire to protect him and protect him she does. Daire calls to fire his security leaving him able to seduce Ari, not a very difficult thing to do. He wants her, she wants him, so all bets are off. Then an attack in his residence reveals the real culprit responsible for the fire and what a surprise.
There is sex, lots of sex and what appears to be a full-blown relationship forming and a HEA in the future.

Daire is at the Blood Shed in Covenkiirk to get a drink when the door opens and in comes a bunch of Firebrands carrying a woman as they yell ""Rookie Rookie"". Daire notices the woman right away not his usual type but he finds her attractive. This is the beginning of Daire and Ari's story. I loved their story and all the rest of the Firebrands series. I like the way each Firebrand finds their mate and all the twists and turns they have to go through. I highly recommend this book and the rest of the series. I found this book to be truly enjoyable and entertaining. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Having never read anything from this author before, this was a perfect introduction. I really liked the two main characters; though very different from one another, they both had insane chemistry and I enjoyed this developing over the course of the story. I also thought the world building was great considering it was a short story. Overall, this was an equally exciting, interesting and steamy read for me.

This book is fast paced and the storyline are not heavy with conflict. The book are addicting and easy to read.

The Lawgiver's Firebrand by T.M. Smith is a thrilling and steamy paranormal romance novel that will leave readers breathless. The book follows Lawgiver Daire, an arrogant incubus who enjoys the finer things in life, and Arianna, a witch and Firebrand warrior who is less refined but fierce. When Daire needs a bodyguard for a gala, he hires Ari, and the two quickly find themselves embroiled in a dangerous game of cat and mouse.
As the story unfolds, the mismatched duo must dodge attacks and pursue their attraction to each other while trying to uncover who is behind the fire at the gala and who is targeting them. Smith does an excellent job of creating a compelling and intricate plot that keeps readers engaged and invested in the characters and their journey.
The chemistry between Daire and Ari is electric, and the steamy scenes between them are sure to leave readers wanting more. Despite their differences, the two characters are well-developed and relatable, and readers will find themselves rooting for their love story.
Overall, The Lawgiver's Firebrand is an excellent read for fans of paranormal romance novels. The story is full of action, suspense, and steamy romance, and Smith's writing is engaging and well-crafted. I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a thrilling and entertaining read.

Quick good read, if you like supernaturals this is for you. This is Daire and Ari’s story. How two opposites become one.
