Description
It is said that time and hurt do not forget. In this intelligent, fast-paced contemporary crime novel, Stirlingshire author David. W. Wood transports the reader into a world where two men have been failed by the law… When he was eight years old, Jacob Davidson was playing with his friend Jenny when a man called Tully appeared. Jacob was left for dead and Jenny was never seen again. Tully was questioned, but the lack of evidence and friends in high places meant he got away with it.
Thirty-five years later, Jacob is a senior police officer with a thirst for revenge. When he was a boy, Patrick O’Hara watched helplessly as so called freedom fighters murdered his father. The killers were never caught. Patrick poured his desire for justice into learning how to use a gun, becoming a cold, meticulous, and devastatingly efficient assassin. Now Patrick is much in demand for his deadly skill. Each man follows his own path to retribution and, although their destinies collide briefly, they remain unknown to each other. The same cannot be said about their actions, which spread to the darkest corners of a web of corrupted individuals and organisations, unleashing a chain of events that will go to the heart of one of the world’s oldest institutions.
Beginning in Edinburgh and spreading across Northern Scotland and mainland Europe, the journeys of these two protagonists as they search for vengeance are packed full of dramatic twists and turns. Tears of Time is a novel that will have readers gripped from start to finish.
