Description

Fia has always been a pawn in other people’s games. When Castus, the boy she cares for like a brother, is taken, she ventures into the cursed mountain to retrieve him and finds herself at the mercy of the dark intriguing Aratah. After spending time with the Aratah, she realizes they share a bizarre connection. A connection that could be the key to saving Castus. If she can convince him to help her.

When a prophecy unfolds, deeming Fia significant to her people’s survival, the Aratah decides he has other plans for her. Now Castus future along with hers is unclear and she is forced to sacrifice her morals and the dignity she’s only just reclaimed and submit to the Aratah.

When Fia learns the secrets of his past, a seed of potential begins to grow, and Fia wonders if giving the Aratah exactly what he wants is the answer to all her problems. After all, a woman who demands a powerful man’s attention, could use her influence to bend him to her will.

Fia’s next move is paramount. If she missteps, she’ll anger the Aratah and cause her own demise, and Castus… will be lost forever.

The characters are compelling and well-developed. FMC undergoes significant growth, facing internal struggles and moral dilemmas that add depth to their journey. Supporting characters, such as [notable side character’s name] and [antagonist’s name], bring additional layers of complexity, with motivations and arcs that keep the reader invested.

The world building of this book was so good. I loved the different types of people and that they are trying to unite the people. Fia is such a strong woman and I loved reading her story. This fantasy world was so entertaining and interesting. I was loving every second of this book.

Holy cow is this an amazing read! Not sure what I was expecting but I got so much more than I even could pretend to have seen coming. Fia is fearless as she just completely dives headfirst into danger in order to rescue Castus... only she meets Aratah first. He's the legit definition of trouble, but that just makes it fun. The chemistry, the tension are all top notch and the stakes are extremely high. The morally gray decisions to be made, and the off-the charts power dynamics kept me turning the pages with eagerness. Such a perfect read for ones that love dark fantasy!

Thanks so much to NetGalley and Starlight Books for this e-arc in exchange for my honest review.

Blood of Starlight is a tale of power, sacrifice, and dangerous alliances, following Fia as she plunges into a cursed mountain to save Castus, only to find herself entangled with the dark and magnetic Aratah. The slow-burn tension, morally gray decisions, and complex power dynamics had me completely hooked. I loved how Fia is caught between fate and choice, testing the limits of her own strength. This book is perfect for readers who enjoy dark fantasy with high stakes and a touch of irresistible intrigue.

Okay, someone needs to check on me because Blood of Starlight just snatched my soul and refused to give it back. Fia dives headfirst into danger to save Castus, but oh no, enter Aratah—mysterious, powerful, and the definition of trouble. Their chemistry? Sparks. The stakes? Ridiculously high. The twists? Jaw-dropping. This book had me screaming, “Fia, girl, be careful!” every other chapter, and I loved every second of it. If you’re into slow-burn tension, impossible choices, and morally complicated characters, this is your next obsession. 🌙🔥📖
