I LOVED this! I recently read Rewitched and this was definitely similar (which is a great thing).
Funny throughout.
Filled with quirky characters that all bought a certain amount of wit.
Fast paced and entertaining.
I'm rather hoping that there might be a sequel. I need more of Jasper and Delilah

This series is endearing and filled with fun characters and intriguing storylines. The Melrose sisters make up a family of witches living in a witch filled town that is held by a spell that makes people who are not witches forget the minute they leave. When Jasper goes to Oak Haven to investigate the request for a liquor license for an address he didn’t recognize, he falls for Delilah who is just back home from studying magic in other communities. Their journey together is angsty as they know he will forget but she will not. There’s also suspense when magicians threaten their community. Readers will enjoy a strong sense of family, friendships, community and magic. The holiday season makes a perfect setting for sweet romance.
I really enjoyed this one! This series is so cozy - returning to Oak Haven felt like putting on a big sweater and sitting down with a hot drink. Delilah was a good protagonist and I enjoyed seeing another side to her from the first book. Jasper was also an intriguing MMC and I liked watching him grapple with the reality of magic and witches. Seeing Scarlett and Nate again was wonderful. This series is so funny and full of kooky characters. I am looking forward to Luna's story and seeing if the magicians will be back again!

Lovely to be back with the Melrose sisters and Oak Haven. The magicians strike again. I love the witches power .You have a lovely slow burn love story and a fabulous ending. You just escape . I loved the history part of the Salem witches . Read it
Delilah is a bit of a grumpy witch who doesn't enjoy doing the same things as her sisters. Instead of making rocks levitate, she would much rather be in a comfy bed after a fine dining experience. She teleports to Tokyo during Christmas time in hopes that it won't be festive, but she is very wrong. Unfortunately, her trip is cut short due to the Magicians being back in Oak Haven.
With the Saturnalia approaching all witches will lose their magic for three days. With the Magicians up to nothing but tricks Delilah and her sisters have to find a way to stop them.
I enjoyed all of the fun magical bits in Oak Haven. One of my favorite parts were the singing snowmen that could change songs with a simple snap of the fingers. I found myself laughing several times while reading this book, there is a ton of humor mixed into this fun story. I could just imagine Scarlett teaching gnomes how to have dance battles and what a fun time it would be. The titles of the chapters were also creative and silly. My personal favorite was Panic! At The Holiday Inn. As a cat lover, I never knew a group of cats was called a clowder. Thank you to Netgalley, Avon Books UK, and Emily Grimoire for an ARC of this book. This review is my own honest opinion.

If you’ve ever wished your Christmas came with a dash of spellcraft and a side of sarcasm, Jingle Spells is your perfect festive escape. Emily Grimoire returns us to Oak Haven—a town so enchantingly odd, it feels like stepping into a snow globe shaken by a mischievous witch.
Delilah is not your typical holiday heroine. She’s sharp, stylish, and allergic to mistletoe sentimentality. Jasper, equally unimpressed by seasonal sparkle, stumbles into Oak Haven and promptly discovers that reality is negotiable when witches are involved. Their reluctant partnership simmers with tension and charm, unfolding against a backdrop of magical mayhem and sisterly solidarity.
The world-building is delightfully eccentric: singing snowmen, teleportation mishaps, and chapter titles that deserve their own stocking. Grimoire balances cozy chaos with genuine heart, crafting a story that celebrates difference, connection, and the quiet courage of coming home.
A slow-burn romance, a sprinkle of suspense, and a town full of gnomes with questionable dance moves—what more could you want from a holiday read?
With thanks to Emily Grimoire, the publisher and NetGalley for the ARC.

So thankful for this ARC @emily.grimoire @harpercollins @netgalley Release October 9th 2025! “The book blends holiday cheer with witchy mischief, featuring a charming small town, enchanted gingerbread, and a lighthearted tone, making it a perfect festive read for fans of Gilmore Girls and Charmed. “ the cutest ever and my favorite shows & themes 🍂☕️📚🎄💘
Magic is certainly in the air in Oak Haven.
Delilah has no intentions of returning to her witchy hometown of Oak Haven until her sister summons her with the news that there's trouble afoot. Oak Haven is a magical town that is the personification of Christmas when the holidays roll around, and it's something Delilah just isn't interested in. Neither is Jasper, a county clerk who is puzzled by a license coming from a location that shouldn't even exist.
Jingle Spells is filled with whimsical Christmas magic that will have you wanting to learn more about the town of Oak Haven. I lost myself completely in the vivid descriptions of all the holiday hoopla, and the theme of sisterhood really struck a chord for me.
The references to other popular media had me in stitches, especially when It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia was alluded to. Jingle Spells doesn't shy away from the messiness of families, and the complex emotions that go along with it.
This is my first of Emily Grimoire's books and I've already added her first book to my read next list.
Thank you to NetGalley and Avon Books UK for the opportunity to read this book for free in exchange for my honest review.
Very cute book.
The sisters are hilarious, particularly Scarlett!
I like the weirdness of it all and the different magical aspects to the story. I thought it was all very cleverly done!

A witchy, cozy holiday romance? Yes, please!
Delilah is the grumpy, independent witch I immediately rooted for. She wants nothing to do with Christmas (same, girl), but of course the universe drags her back to her magical hometown...complete with sisterhood, found family, and all the cozy small town vibes.
Then Jasper stumbles in, a Christmas hating human who accidentally sees way more magic than he’s supposed to. Watching these two team up while trying not to fall for each other under the mistletoe was both adorable and swoony.
The Gilmore Girls meets Charmed comp is spot on: snappy dialogue, witchy small town shenanigans, and enough chaos to keep the plot moving while still feeling like a warm blanket on a snowy day.
Bonus points for the sisterhood vibes, which gave the story extra heart.
If you’re looking for a holiday read that blends magic, romance, and cozy small town charm, Jingle Spells is a delightful pick.
I’ll definitely be re reading this one in December with a mug of hot cocoa in hand.
Delilah has spent years running the family inn in the magical town of Oak Haven, where witches have kept their magic secret form the outside world for centuries. Now she’s out to spread her wings and enjoy life. But her quest for peace and relaxation is interrupted by power hungry Magicians, who are determined to steal the magic of Oak Haven for themselves.
Jasper works in the county records office, a strange application for a road that doesn’t exist sends him on a journey to Oak Haven, where he learns of the witches and magic, but it’s not the first time he’s paid the town a visit.
The two connect and sparks fly, but can they overcome the magicians without Jasper losing all knowledge of Oak Haven.
This was an easy ready that added a dash of magic to a festive story.

A fun novel.
Not a genre I read very often and a new to me author but I thoroughly enjoyed this story where the protagonists are trying to save a town under siege. With their powers given up for Saturnalia and the forgetting spell which keeps their town safe mis-functioning, the witches of Oak Haven are at a standstill. Will nerdy human Jasper Hopkins, filing and archival research clerk at the county clerk’s office and the witch Delilah that he is falling for, save the day? And what happens when Jasper forgets Delilah’s existence?
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book from NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Delilah is a witch who hates Christmas and has left her town of Oak Haven. Jasper who works in the county records office and stumbles across an application for a licence in a street that doesn't exist so decides to go and find it. Delilah has come home to help her family.
I enjoyed this book. Not a genre I've read before but liked all the twists and turns
Reviewer 1491639
"she's an independent witch" i loved this little line. i mean i would dream of having this sentence to my name was i was younger. add to that it then went on to mention Gilmore girls and charmed and basically this book had won me over before it began.
im not one for fantasy or the new trend for magic(sorry) and i get a bit on my soap box about how the fai world has just been used to excuse diabolical behaviour(often by men) in relationships. so im always cautious of magical things. but recently i've hit the theme in the rom-come era and im loving the little magical sparks that have entered those. it subtle. its part of it and almost believable. and this one was on exception.
oh and did we see the Christmas thing going on here too? yup this is part of our early Christmas gorgeousness we get this time of year. this years instalment of them all have been one of my faves. there have been some truly special ones. and i think its a lot to do with how much we all need them given our current world.
any i waffle, back to this book.
so we have Oak Haven where witches escape to. its a place that is safe for them. even if non witches come there they will forget it as soon as they leave. brilliant right?
Delilah is the daughter of the communities important members. she was different though. and wanted to live differently. more importantly she wanted to live away from this place.
but there is chaos at home. because their whole existence it at risk. their safety. they need her. the magicians are back and causing trouble for all of them. only Delilah and her sisters can stop them.
then we have human Jasper. he doesn't like the festive time of year. coming to Oak Haven to investigate something to do with his job seems an ok thing to do apart from the fact doesn't or shouldn't exist of course. little does he know what he is about to become involved in. and little does he know that meeting Delilah will be just what he needs this Christmas season and beyond.
i enjoyed all the magic in this book. it felt like it added sparkle to the festive theme. there is lots of lovely, witty jest in this books that can make you smile. the holiday high jinks and magic linked to what they got up to was a right giggle.
Emily did such a good job of describing her world here for us. i truly felt like i could see it, feel it almost be in it.
i really enjoyed this book and would recommend it ti anyone.
i shall be off to try find more from this author too.

I was completely charmed by this magical holiday romance. This book brings together two wonderfully flawed and relatable characters, a witch and a human who both despise Christmas. The chemistry between Delilah and Jasper is electric, and watching their attraction grow amidst magical mayhem is an absolute delight. Beyond the enchanting premise, the book's real strength lies in its heart, reminding us that even the grumpiest of people can find warmth and love during the holiday season. It's a perfect read for fans of character-driven romance with a sprinkle of magic.
Jingle Spells is a festive, funny, and heartwarming return to Oak Haven, a witchy town brimming with quirky magic and strong family ties.
Delilah Melrose is a grumpy, stylish witch who’d rather avoid holiday cheer—until Jasper stumbles into Oak Haven and into her life. Their slow-burn romance is equal parts angsty and charming, especially as the threat of the Magicians looms and Saturnalia approaches, leaving all witches powerless for three days.
Emily Grimoire’s world-building sparkles with whimsical details—singing snowmen, teleportation mishaps, and even gnomes learning dance battles.
The humor, creative chapter titles, and cozy chaos make this a standout holiday read.
A perfect blend of romance, magic, and seasonal mischief, Jingle Spells will leave you laughing, swooning, and wishing your Christmas came with a side of spellcraft.
Thank you to Netgalley, Avon Books UK, and Emily Grimoire this eARC.

Absolutely fantastic book. Easy five stars. Will be recommending on my Facebook book group. Also giving a copy to my family members that read!

Thank you to Netgalley and Avon Books UK for the ARC, all opinions are my own!
Firstly, make sure you pick up Impractical Magic (currently 99p on the Amazon Kindle September 2025 deals) and read it first; the plot of Jingle Spells follows on from the events in Impractical Magic.
This is the perfect cosy fantasy to get you in the Christmas mood, and is a must read for the autumn season! If you’re looking for a book about a small town with whimsical characters that makes you is reminiscent of Gilmore Girls then look no further.
Jingle Spells is a tale of sisterly bonds, unexpected love and found family. We see Delilah exploring and come to terms with her grief, and Jasper step outside his comfort zone and explore a whole new world he had no idea existed. Watching them develop a relationship whilst knowing that the forgetting spell would work on Jasper once outside the town was simultaneously heartwarming and heartbreaking. I was rooting for them to find a way to be together despite the spell.
I cannot wait to return to the world of Oak Haven and the Melrose sisters next year when we get Luna’s story! I love the town and the Melrose family and am invested in their happy endings.
Thank you Netgalley for the opportunity to read this ARC. This book is expected to be out October 1, 2025.
I enjoyed this book, but it took a bit to get into it. The first bit was pretty slow moving, but once everything was established, it was wonderful. The author has such a fun spin on how the magic was used, and I appreciate the Christmas mixed in with it.
Oak Haven is a place where the Salem witches escaped to. Located in Connecticut, the town has been spelled to make non-witches forget the place as soon as they leave. This was done to keep the people of Oak Haven safe.
Delilah is the daughter of one of the founding families. She has been away dealing with the death of her father, when her sister shows up to retrieve her. The magicians, who have been feuding with the witches for as long as anyone can remember, have built a casino overnight right outside the town line. This is disastrous, as the people there can see Oak Haven, and the forgetting spell of the town won't work on them.
At the same time, Jasper has just arrived in Oak Haven for what he thinks is the first time. In reality, he keeps showing up. Him and Delilah have an instant connection, and he decides to stay and help with the magicians.
Overall, the story is so well done. Spice is closed door for the most part. The characters were likable, and felt real. 4.5 stars rounded up to 5.
This was a cosy Christmas novel that got me excited for Christmas the characters were on point I absolutely loved them

What a smashing book. So witchy and Christmassy. I enjoyed this alot as it made me laugh a lot and the sisters had such a great relationship with each other. A different type of Christmas book which I'm sure will appeal to lots of readers. My thanks to netgalley and the publishers for giving me the opportunity to read this book in return for an honest review.
Emily Grimoire does a fantastic job in writing this type of romance book, it had that element that I wanted in this type of book. I was invested in the characters and enjoyed the Christmas element to this book. It had that plot element that I was looking for and was glad I got to read this.

Firstly, thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for this ARC
Having read the first book in this series, it was great to get the view from older sister Delilah.
Not a fan of the Christmas holidays, but bored of travelling with her little sister, she returns to her home in Oak Haven. At her return, there is a massive casino just outside the town, run by the witches enemy, the magicians. Can the witches stop the magicians from ruining their hidden town?
Jasper is archivist, he shows up in Oak Haven, not realising he has been there before, when he meets Delilah and sparks fly, but can they get their wish of love?
Can't wait for book 3!
Reviewer 1151619
Emily Grimoire never disappoints for a cute cozy with all the feels book. Do I recommend Jingle spells… definitely yes. Characters you can like and think of as family. Thank you to NetGalley, Emily and publishers for the arc.

I’d give this one a solid 4 stars. It definitely took me a little while to get into, but once I did, I found myself completely absorbed. The mix of magic and holiday vibes was such a fun twist, and even though I’m not the biggest Christmas person, I loved the way it was woven into the story without feeling too cheesy. The atmosphere had that cosy, small town charm with with some added magic to keep things fresh and interesting
The characters really won me over. Delilah was the kind of strong, slightly prickly heroine I can’t help but root for, and Jasper brought just the right balance to her energy. Their dynamic felt natural and swoony without being over the top, and the sisterhood/found family threads gave the whole book so much heart. Overall, it left me feeling warm and happy. Not quite a perfect read for me, but definitely one I’d recommend. I think I’ll be rereading this in December!
Make sure you read the first book in the series too as you’ll enjoy this book more if you’ve been introduced to the characters and world a little in Impractical Magic first
Morticia A, Reviewer
This was such fun and did not have a totally soppy ending ;). I actually laughed out loud for a while at the end of chapter 4.
Jasper is the county archivist and and comes across a liquor license for s place that can't possibly exist. What he finds there, is a village of witches in grave trouble.
He rapidly falls in love with one of them and vows to solve their problems, but that means leaving behind his new-found love.
Catey C, Reviewer
If you have ever wanted a witchy book but set in Christmas. This is your book! The romance was so cute!
“I’m bringing a civilian to see a witch who once turned a mailman into a sundial for delivering too much junk mail. Worried doesn’t cover it.”
Gosh this book was so stinking funny!!! If you’re looking for a witchy book for Christmas, this one comes out on Oct 1st and I highly recommend it!!
Delilah is sitting in her hotel when all of a sudden she hears a crash in the bathroom, where finds her sister fully clothed ans soaking wet in the shower. Scarlet had been looking all over for her to let her know her presence was needed and home because their little town of Oak Haven was dealing with pesky magicians trying to stake claim on their territory!
Jasper works as the city clerks office, and finds some mysterious paperwork down in the basement where he deals with all the historical archives so he sets out to a mysterious location that he is sure doesn’t exist. He then finds himself in a town of witches, and in over his head with the information he has discovered.
This book is filled with banter, and magical adventures and is sure to keep you hooked from beginning to end! I am still laughing even after I am done reading this book, and cannot wait for more of you to read it!
Jingle Spells is a perfect book to transition you from your cozy reads right into the spirit of Christmas when you’re not quite ready to fully leave the witchy vibes to deck the halls.
I found Delilah’s character really relatable as the oldest sibling in my family, but found all the characters to be likable. The story itself made me laugh, the quips from the sisters produced late night giggling while reading in the dark. As a mom of three, I wish I had a cloning spell at times - what a clever idea.
I found the book to be medium paced, something I could set down & come back to with ease. I also enjoyed how the author titled each chapter, I don’t read a lot of books that have a detail like that.
I would recommend this book to friends that enjoy a lighthearted fantasy, something that feels like your everyday with a touch of magic.
This is a perfect, feel-good, cosy up with the fire and Christmas tree lit behind you kind of book. Perfect Christmas read, simple and easy! This is a first for me by the author and one I enjoyed, and I would read more of their work. The book cover is eye-catching and appealing and would spark my interest if it were in a bookshop.

Jingle Spells is a cozy, magical holiday romance perfect for fans of Gilmore Girls and Charmed. Delilah, a witch who despises Christmas, returns to her hometown just in time for the holidays, only to team up with Jasper, a human who hates Christmas just as much. Together, they must restore order in the enchanting town of Oak Haven while fighting a growing attraction that neither expected.
With its witchy vibes, small-town charm, and themes of found family, this story feels like sipping hot cocoa under twinkle lights. A grumpy x grumpy romance full of festive magic, sweet, whimsical, and heartwarming!
Thank you to Net Galley and the Publisher for the Arc!
Delilah, Scarlett, and Luna are sisters—and witches. When their father dies, Scarlett and Luna cope by leaving Oak Haven, while Delilah stays behind to run the family’s Melrose business, the Stargazer Inn, for a full decade. When Scarlett finally returns, Delilah sees her chance to pack a bag and maybe find a life of her own… but where should she go?
Before she can get far, Scarlett comes searching for her help. Delilah refuses—until Scarlett drops the bombshell: the magicians are back. That’s all it takes for Delilah to pack her bags and return home.
Enter Jasper, who works in the archives and records office. On a visit to Oak Haven, he’s told he’s been there before—but every time he leaves, he forgets it all. Through the Earl family, a colorful pirate clan, Jasper learns the history of how Salem witches fled persecution and cast a spell around their new home. But the spell isn’t perfect—it has an “altitude hole.” Add in the long-standing feud between witches and magicians, the rise of a magician-built Las Vegas with its flashy tours, and Jasper’s growing bond with Delilah, and the stakes get higher. Because this time, Jasper doesn’t want to forget.
This book had everything I love in a holiday cozy: quirky, magical sisters, a layered backstory, romance with a twist, and a small-town setting full of charm. I especially loved Jasper’s journey—how he tries to decide if it’s Delilah or the whole world he’s supposed to believe in. A festive, heartwarming read with a spark of magic.

Gentle Romance
OH MY GOD this was good.
I was tentative going into this, having heard mixed things about Impractical Magic, but Jingle Spells was just fantastic. Set in the best example of a small town I have ever read, with a wide, diverse and hilarious mix of characters, this is a world that you're not going to want to leave. Delilah is such a funny FMC, she's headstrong and determined and I love her for it. And Jasper!!! Sweet, determined Jasper. They were both so quietly accepting of their fate, and I loved it for that.
This book is full of humour, heart and magic, and you're not going to want to leave the world any time soon.
Many thanks to NetGalley and the author for this ARC!

Jingle Spells by Emily Grimoire is the perfect mix of holiday charm, cozy magic, and a sprinkle of romance. From the very first chapter, it wraps you in a warm, whimsical world full of festive cheer and enchanting spells. I loved how the story blended holiday traditions with a magical twist, making it feel both comforting and exciting.
The characters were fun and endearing, and the cozy small-town atmosphere made me want to curl up with a blanket, hot cocoa, and twinkling lights while reading. It’s exactly the kind of book that puts you in the holiday spirit!
Huge thanks to Emily Grimoire, NetGalley, and Avon Books UK for the opportunity to read this ARC in exchange for my honest review! 🎄🪄✨
3.5 stars. It’s cozy, it’s charming, it sets the holiday mood. So, many elements of the story have just been used in every other cozy, witchy, Christmas book that I was hoping for something new and different.

Loved reading the mesmerizing and engaging paranormal story. When Delilah, a witch, is called back home to fight the evil magicians, she meets Jasper, a human. Read the highly recommended, wonderfully written, and a must read riveting story.
Reviewer 384779
Jingle Spells is exactly the kind of book I want to curl up with on a frosty December night—festive, magical, and just the right amount of spicy.
Delilah is such a brilliant heroine—fierce, funny, and utterly relatable in her dislike of Christmas. When she’s pulled back to her hometown of Oak Haven, I immediately felt that small-town charm (and a dash of chaos) seeping through the pages. And then there’s Jasper—our grumpy outsider human—who stumbles into this witchy world and turns everything upside down. The chemistry between the two? Pure festive fireworks.
I adored the mix of cosy Christmas vibes and supernatural mischief. One chapter would make me laugh with the small-town antics, the next had me swooning over the growing spark between Delilah and Jasper. The Gilmore Girls meets Charmed comparison is spot on—there’s banter, magic, family drama, and plenty of heart.
If you’re looking for a festive romance that sparkles with both mistletoe kisses and witchy chaos, this one is a total treat.
Jingle Spells is a magical, cosy romance that will warm you right through—like hot chocolate with a cheeky kick of spice.
Absolutely loved this book, this is my first book by this author and definitely won't be the last.
Really good storyline
Good characters
Highly recommend
Witchy, witty, and wonderfully festive. Delilah’s a grumpy witch dragged back to her magical hometown just in time for Christmas chaos—and Jasper, a human with zero holiday spirit, stumbles into the spellbound town of Oak Haven.
Well wasn't this a fun cute, cosy witchy holiday romance to read.
I really enjoyed this one. The writing, the plot, the characters (main and side). I had fun reading this book. What i also love is a magical town. love all that. This will be perfect to read for november/December time. The little twists had me turning the pages.
If you like witches, proper magic, cosy romances and awkward mmc with no people skills and magical towns then this is for you

First thing i need to mention is how gorgeous the cover is and how it drew me in immediately. I feel i must say we shouldn't judge a book by it's cover but in this case it's fine as the story within is fabulous.
It was lovely to be back in Oak Haven and this time with a wonderfully festive witchy read, phew that's a mouthful!
Fantastic story highly recommend
Jingle Spells by Emily Grimoire is a delightfully whimsical and festive read, blending magic, humor, and holiday cheer in a way that’s utterly charming. Grimoire’s playful storytelling and enchanting characters make it perfect for cozying up with during the season. A fun, heartwarming read that sparkles with holiday spirit.
Thank you to the publisher for providing me with a ARC of the book. Christmas meets pagan witch traditions in a hidden town in Connecticut!
Loved
- The blending of traditions from all kinds of backgrounds combined with the joy of Christmas!
- Eps and his cats
- All the Doctor Who references around time travel and the size of certain rooms
- Grumpy/grumpy romance
- The contrast between flashy modern magicians and old school traditional witches
Meh
- Considering how much of the book takes place in a full on crisis, there was an annoying lack of urgency amongst the characters
- Delilah was a bit difficult to connect to as a main character
Overall it is a fun holiday book about the battle between witches and magicians. 3.5 stars rounded up to 4!
Thank you so much to Avon Books for allowing me early access to a digital copy of this book for review. All opinions are my own.
Jingle Spells is the second book in the Oak Haven Witches series. If you're unfamiliar with the series, Oak Haven is a small town home to the witches who escaped the Salem Witch Trials. What's special about the town is that it's hidden behind a memory lapsing spell, so any outsiders who visit will never remember who or what they saw the moment they step outside of the perimeter. As for this story, we get to follow Delilah as she returns home from traveling to help her family fight off yet another attack from the magicians who are out to destroy their lifestyle. In the midst of dealing with magicians, the county historian, Jasper, has a few questions that leads him to rediscovering Oak Haven, and meeting Delilah who he is unexpectedly smitten with. The question is, can Delilah save the town, and what does that mean for her and Jasper?
This was such a fun and cute read! I always love a good witchy rom-com and this one was extra unique because the witches have come to love holiday decorations so the whole time is less spooky and more festive. Delilah and Jaspers story was really sweet and getting to see them connect and open up was precious. Definitely add this to your TBR if you're looking for a good time this autumn leading into the holiday season! And don't forget to check out the first book first (something I failed to do but had no problems reading this with out any confusion).
This cozy Christmas romance blends the small-town charm of "Gilmore Girls" with the magical world of "Charmed." Delilah, a strong witch who dislikes Christmas, and Jasper, a human avoiding the holiday, must team up to save their magical town. Their growing attraction adds a delightful spark to the festive chaos. Perfect for readers who love warm, magical, and romantic holiday stories with humor and heart
This was absolutely fun, cozy, cute and right up my alley! I love witchy romances but I love them even more when it’s a cozy setting with low stakes! I enjoyed reading it, I honestly may re read it when it’s closer to the holiday season!
I have only recently been getting into romance and I have to say the paranormal and witchy subgenres with cosy vibes are some of my favourites. Jingle Spells initially drew me in with the title, I love a good pun, but I stayed for the story and characters. Delilah is amazing and I loved Jasper too. The vibes of this book, as someone who is a spooky and autumn loving girl, were still perfect. I adored the holiday season feeling, the cosy small town and the whimsy and magic of it too. It is the perfect read for cool autumn nights and approaching winter. This was my first Grimoire book but I’ve already ordered Impractical Magic now and preordered this one too.
As always thank you to the publisher for the advanced copy to review, my reviews are always honest and freely given.
This was the perfect follow up to practical magic! We're thrown straight back into the action with the formidable Melrose clan. The building tension is just 👌 and the general chaos makes this such a page turner!
Delilah and Jasper are just so sweet together! 2 souls who have definitely been searching for each other! Their quirky, nerdy ways are so endearing and gave me all the mushy feels!
If you like witchy reads and small town vibes this book is definitely for you! 💜💜

Delilah and Jasper both hate Christmas. When both of them end up in Oak Haven they must work together to restore the order that has erupted in the town.
This was a whimsical tale. Based in a small town with a slow burn romance it gave a festive escape read. It sometimes had mixed pacing but overall the cozy magical witchy vibe shone through.
I enjoyed reading Jingle Spells by Emily Grimoire. You will fall in love with all the characters. I received an ARC of this book courtesy of NetGalley and the publisher. All opinions expressed in this review are my own and given freely. Happy Reading!

Happy publication day to this sweet, witchy romcom! 💫🎉
"Let me get this straight. Oak Haven is a magical sanctuary town, protected by spells, founded by Salem witches trying to make up for abandoning their innocent neighbours?"
This was a light-hearted, cozy read. It reminded me a bit of Erin Sterling's 'The Ex Hex' and 'Witch You Weren't Here' by Emma Jackson - but set during the festive season.
Many thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the ARC.
Delilah and Jasper are adorable and this was the perfect way to start gearing up for my christmas reads. This is set in the same place as book 1 and oh my did I enjoy getting to head back to that cosy town. This has enough of an autumn vibe that you can read it now.

Two people who dislike Christmas find themselves surrounded by the magic of it (literally and figuratively) in the town of Oak Haven. Delilah, a witch, was born and raised in the town but has spent some time away after her father's passing. Jasper, a normal, is from a nearby town and has visited Oak Haven at least six times though he's never remembered it, and he's certainly never remembered her.
This was a cozy, low stakes, small town, slow burn romance. It's slower paced, but has lots going on, from family drama to magicians to casinos to amnesia tropes. If you liked Impractical Magic you'll love this continuation of the Melrose sisters and Oak Haven with a festive twist.

I loved this book! It was the perfect balance of humour, magic, whimsy and adventure. I would love to visit Oak Haven one day and then forget all about it 😉
Thank you to Avon Publishing and NetGalley for the ARC of Jingle Spells.
This cozy, fantasy rom-com was such a joy to read! The story follows Delilah Melrose, who is called back to her magical hometown of Oak Haven for Christmas. The town is facing some unusual problems—like a giant casino suddenly appearing next door. The long-standing forgetting spell that hides Oak Haven no longer works on visitors snapping photos from the casino windows, threatening to expose the town’s magic.
At the same time, Jasper, (the town next doors records officer) arrives with an odd liquor license permit for a place that technically shouldn’t exist—since Oak Haven does not appear on any map. As Delilah and Jasper cross paths, sparks fly, and they must team up to protect Oak Haven from outside magicians who want to claim it for themselves. The only complication? Delilah is a witch, Jasper is not, and if he ever leaves Oak Haven, he’ll forget both her and their growing relationship.
I adored this book—the perfect blend of witchcraft, Christmas charm, and rom-com fun. The characters are lovable, the worldbuilding whimsical, and it feels like the start of a fantastic series. I’m already excited knowing Emily Grimoire has another book set in Oak Haven coming in 2026! I’ll definitely be recommending this magical holiday read to friends when it releases on Oct 1, 2025.
