This is the story of Kiri - a beautiful English-Japanese teenager who is abruptly pulled out of her West London comfort zone to a world of no broadband, no mobile phone signal and no friends when she moves with her family to the remote Scottish Borders. She struggles to adjust to her new life – dealing with simmering racism and the unwanted attention of her father’s shady boss, the Laird, Lord Roderick Duncan. But when her petty-criminal brother turns up bringing in his wake a succession of characters from the sadistic criminal underworld Kiri’s troubles really begin.
