Description
Lying to the police and covering up a crime are the last things anyone would expect from the Farrelly’s…until Erin returns.
Sisters, Erin and Fiona, couldn’t be more different. Erin left the family home at nineteen to go backpacking. Twenty years later, and with questionable tales of her travels abroad, she returns home with a newfound interest in the family business.
But it’s not long before her younger and less adventurous sister, Fiona, becomes concerned, fearing Erin’s management of their seafront restaurant could place her future inheritance at risk.
And when Erin becomes preoccupied with a negative review of the revamped restaurant, pressure mounts on Fiona to step in. She does everything in her power to protect her fragile sister and preserve the family business, while struggling to meet the demands of her parents and fiance, Greg.
And as Erin’s obsession with the review spirals out of control, Fiona fears for more than just the survival of the restaurant. She always believed she’d do anything for her family, but when faced with losing her integrity, along with her job and the love of her life, she questions—how far is too far?

just looking at the cover got me in the mood for this book. and the contents inside was just what id wished it to be. there is so much depth to Rachel's writing. she knows how to write humans, lol. i couldn't put this book down. and not because there was a tense and far out bang or wallop.but because watching the relationship in the good and bad, seeing their interactions, their thoughts and how they behaved now back together was something equally as gripping. when done well the telling of families or human relationships can be some of the best and most gripping tales we get offered to read.
i could feel as i was a friend of the pair and could understand a few more sides to the stories they told each other and told themselves. it was like i knew them. and did end up coming to care for how they'd end up. there was so much swimming on the surface for these two sisters but that isn't the half of whats really going on underneath. and the different roles they have played in the family is sometimes a strength but sometimes a weight for each of them.
i loved exploring their story and the location setting and scene setting just took the book up a level.
i think i could read anything by Rachel and love it. she writes with the lightest of touch but on the page can be the deepest of stories. but still, at the same time there is the wit, humour and smile worthy moments in their too. and certainly more than one heart pulling moment.
another superb read. adored this one and cant wait for the next.

I really enjoyed this one set in Dublin. A story of a family who own a restaurant. Fiona is the daughter who is a nurse and as engaged to be married to Greg. The other sister Erin comes back from Bali after spending over 20 years travelling. There are a lot of changes to happen and things dont run smoothly.

I really enjoyed this book. The characters were so well developed and they really stood out to me as my fabourite thing in the book. I became really invested in them, really quickly and I became totally absorbed in their relationships and their lives. I loved it and will definitely be looking for more from the author
