❄️ Can they patch up their broken hearts this Christmas?❄️
Christmas in the picturesque village of Willowbrook should be dreamy - twinkling fairylights, snow in the air, and a busy time for Amélie in the repair workshop she owns, restoring furniture and mending treasured objects for locals to give as Christmas gifts. But in the tiny community, Amélie keeps bumping into her ex, Jack - and it's killing her festive feeling.
Jack and Amélie were perfect for each other... until one day they weren't. And when Jack's attempt at reconciliation goes wrong, he finds himself locked in Amélie's van.
Driving to her aunt's house in the South of France, Amélie thinks she's finally going to get some peace over the festive period, but like it or not, she'll now be spending Christmas trapped on holiday with Jack. Could it help unwrap the secret to why they split up? Or will it be a gift they'd rather exchange?
Curl up with your perfect Christmas read from Sophie Claire. A wonderfully cosy, second-chance enemies-to-lovers festive romance, perfect for fans of Phillipa Ashley, Jo Thomas and Sarah Morgan.

I was desperate to read this and it did not disappoint at all. Loved it. You had an amazing love story, the love of antique repairs , really funny pranks and a childhood that affected the characters. It is written that it moves quickly from one character to another that took a bit of getting use to. I loved the French part . Just read it. Good ending .

i always love it when the Christmas themed books come into our lives at this time of years for a special hello. when i saw the beautiful cover of this book. and the title(France anything draws me in every time lol) and i was in in in yes please.
the premise of this book had me chuckling even from the start. its a fresh take on being stuck together for Christmas!
i read another book that i loved about a repair shop in Scotland recently and so i was already having all the feels ready for this one. and it matched it completely. its warm, cosy and with heart. oh and of course with added extra of the good food.
this book brings us to Amelie and Jack. they have split. but from the outside this certainly feels like unfinished business. and being close together hasn't really served them well. the atmosphere isn't festive and all good to all men kind of vibes is not wrapped in tinsel.
Amelie is then relieved to get away from him for a while, a break from their pranks and outdoing each other. maybe she can finally feel festive. shes on her way to France, a goooood distance away from Jack that for sure. oh that is until somethings gone very wrong and Jack has found himself...in... the...back of her van. grrrreat.
so what will they do. finally breaker peace. finally be honest. finally end the niggling each other and winding each other up? or can something more and a whole lot better come from this forced proximity festive period.
this was such a well written story that featured such emotional moments and true feelings brought to light for our pair. you can really relate and feel for both sides and why they are thinking, feeling and acting how they are.
i really loved getting to know them both. and the other side characters were fab additions and each held their own as making this book what it was for us to read.
this book was filled with the warmth, heart and comforting feeling these books bring so well. its exactly what you need this time of year or any. and its exactly what we could all do with a dose of right now i think. it certainly helped me over a rough for days.
books are so special for truly allowing us to escape into them. and Sophie built a story and a little world for us to do just that inside.
i love the little notes to what Amelie does in her repair work. these little details just add to the feeling i got from this book.
i really did love this book. i feel so lucky to have these books and these talents authors who hand them over to us each time.
This book is so moreish- I kept reading and reading to see how things ended up and the book got better as I read on! The book has romance regret and misunderstandings which spice up the relationships notably those of Jack and Amelie. Jack and Amelie are exes , trying to get on with their lives although things happen, sometimes things they prompt, that keep them in each others orbit and rubbing each other up the wrong way.
Amelie is a carpenter by trade and repairs wooden items and antiques. The back drop and detail that the author puts in about this world and the work that she does adds another lovely level to the book - a bit Repair Shop TV programme, but done well!
This is a cozy, romantic and lovely read.

As a lover of The Repair Shop I was really looking forward to reading this book and it was a joy to do so. Sophie has done such a good job with her characters, the beautiful French setting and all the Christmas vibes. The main characters of Amelie and Jack were very appealing. The will they won’t they storyline was very well done and I found myself rooting for them which is always a good sign. This is such a warm, cosy story, I loved the descriptions of the antiques that Amelie repairs, it was a different take on the Christmas romance story but refreshingly so.
A lovely read that I can thoroughly recommend especially as the Christmas season is fast approaching.
