Description

The unforgettable new novel from Sunday Times bestseller Libby Page

Twelve stories. Twelve months. Once chance to heal her heart . . .

When Tilly Nightingale receives a call telling her there’s a birthday gift from her fiancé waiting for her at her local bookshop, it couldn’t come as more of a shock. Partly because she can’t remember the last time she read a book for pleasure. Mainly because Joe died five months ago . . .

The gift is simple – twelve carefully-chosen books from Joe, one for each month, to help her turn the page on her first year without him.
Tilly sets out on a series of reading-inspired adventures that take her around the world. But as she begins to vlog her journey, her story becomes more than her own. With help from Alfie, the bookshop owner, her budding new following and her friends and family, can Tilly’s year of books show her how to love again?

I've literally just finished reading it & Wow!!! Absolutely brilliant, the idea behind this book is so clever, highlighting the profound impact stories can have on our lives, offering solace, inspiration, & new perspectives.

The story shows a journey of healing, self discovery & the power of literature in navigating grief & the slow winding path to finding joy again.

Each book serves as a catalyst, inspiring Tilly to embark on a series of adventures, some close to home, others taking her around the world. As she begins to share her journey, her story resonates with others, transforming her personal healing process into something larger than herself.

Tilly is such a likeable character & I love her resilience as she slowly allows herself to guided by Joe's thoughtful gift.

This novel is more than just a story about loss; it's a celebration of life, friendship, & the enduring power of love.

There are moments of heartbreak & glimmers of hope, reminding us that even in the darkest of times, new chapters can begin.

If you're looking for a novel that is tender, thought-provoking, & ultimately uplifting, this is a truly special read that will stay with you long after you've turned the final page!

Oh my word....what a fantastic book. I absolutely loved it. So beautifully written.

Tilly Nightingale receives a random phone call from her local bookshop to tell her that a birthday gift is waiting on her from her fiancé......the only problem is that her fiancé has died. Before he passed away, he left a collection of books for Tilly, all wrapped and to be collected one a month.
As Tilly receives her books, they encourage her to make changes in her life....taking steps forward that she needs to make. She starts to live life again in ways she never thought she would.
What happens when her year of books are done? How will she continue to move forward?

This was an absolutely beautiful book that I read it in 2 days as I fell in love with the characters and it really touched my heart.

Loved, loved, loved it.

I am a big fan of Libby Pages’s previous novels and was excited to receive a digital arc from Netgalley.

This Book Made Me Think of You follows Tilly as she receives a mysterious request to collect an order that she didn’t make from her local independent bookshop. When she collects the package from bookseller Alfie, she begins what will be a year of surprises left to her by her late husband.

At first I was slightly worried that the nature of Tilly receiving a book each month might feel repetitive however each book leads to an adventure in this story which, to me, is like a love letter to reading, travelling, community and cherishing the special people in your life. I devoured it over a weekend and now feel slightly bereft!

How can I possibly sum up my feelings for this book? Utterly gorgeous. This was a ray of sunshine in a long week. The exact tonic I needed without knowing I needed it. The author's writing had me weeping from one chapter in and a few times I pressed my hand to my heart with such emotion for Tilly. The characters are wonderfully crafted and so beautifully vivid that they just jumped off the page into the real world. I loved following Tilly and her adventures and looked forward to each month of her exciting year. But I also loved that we got to hear Alfie's story just as strongly. This book is about the importance of connection, finding safe spaces to grow and the hardship but love that comes out of grief. This book deserves all the praise and I will be recommending it to absolutely everyone.
