Now, Teia must set sail across the Dark Sea to warn the Shaylani emperor of a threat that could doom the Five Kingdoms: Cornelius Lehm lives, and he's plotting to raise a legendary creature from the depths.
But Teia knows she can't defeat him alone, even if it means working with the very rebels she betrayed to claim her crown.
Can she earn their trust once again? Is the spark between Teia and Tobias still burning? Or will Teia be forced to face the consequences.

A sequel to Inferno's Heir, Tempest's Queen is as provocative as the first book was. It had everything I was looking for in a political YA fanatsy novel — rage, heist, unreliable narrators, secret & plot twists, romance, action, adventure, diversity, and heartwrenching scenes the destroy readers. I particularly loved the found family and the dynamics they had. Wang is okay with destroying the hearts of her readers by making the characters choose difficult choices that made me sob so much that I feel numb. For fans of Six of Crows, this is a perfect reach to quelch that thirst!
