On the run, A&E medic Dr Nathan Carter is the prime suspect in the abduction and murder of a dozen young women. But how can he plead his innocence when blackouts leave him unable to account for his actions and flashbacks leave him with memories of the crimes?

Carter must now prove his innocence – or guilt – before his arrest by the same tenacious veteran detective who’d questioned him months before when an ex-girlfriend had been found murdered in the same brutal way as the other victims – her violent death now only leaving Carter doubting his sanity even more.

It was a maths teacher who first noticed the poetry scrawled across the solved equations in Daniel Caine’s homework book - revealing his innate need to write. A brain aneurysm at 35 then threatened to wipe those ‘language’ centres. But on his survival, those centres became even more hyper-sensitised: Daniel became a lyricist, a songwriter, an artist manager in the cut-throat music business, a public speaker, and now an author.
