Description
Stolen Moments is book 1 of 3 in the Stolen Romance series, and loosely inspired by a true story. This male-male, forced proximity, spicy rockstar romance with all of the drama and all of the feels, is perfect for fans of Red, White & Royal Blue and Daisy Jones & The Six.
Alexander Morgan stands at the pinnacle of pop superstardom, desired by millions, envied by all. But behind the dazzling lights and deafening applause lies a man haunted by secrets. To the world, he's flawless, untouchable. In truth, he's barely holding on.
Christopher Foster, back in London for his sister’s wedding, has his own ghosts to bury. He never expected to collide with Alexander’s turbulent orbit—nor to stir something in the superstar that refuses to stay hidden. As sparks fly and old wounds reopen, the carefully constructed world Alexander lives in begins to fracture under the weight of a passion too fierce to deny.
With the world clamouring for a piece of Alexander, the stolen moments he shares with Christopher become his only escape from the suffocating grip of fame. But in a world where image is everything and the spotlight never fades, can something real survive?
Or will one exposed truth destroy them both?
This book also comes complete with its own original songs, the first of which My Anchor is out now on Spotify, Apple, Amazon, and all music streaming platforms.

Disclaimer: this is not a contained story and does end on a cliffhanger. Part of a trilogy according to the blurb at the end of the book. That being said I really did enjoy this story, I just wish that was a little more evident from the cover and description. I can see a lot of people being blindsided by that (me included)
This was actually a really cute romance story. Very easy to read and the romance was really sweet. Pop star Alex meets visiting Christopher who is staying at the same hotel for his sisters wedding, but Alex must maintain that he is available, and consequently straight, for his largely young female fan base.
I think character depictions are really well done. Both characters seem really mature about the limitations they face when dating someone famous. The struggles Alex faces being famous are not sugar coated, alcohol and alcoholism are featured heavily in this story.
There is instalust in this if that isn’t for you, just a heads up. Being a strangers to lovers type story I guess that is inevitable though. The banter between the characters is great I just wish there was more of it. There is actually a lot of side characters and side plots but some are more pronounced and fleshed out than others.
I’m invested enough in their story and will be checking out the next book.
Thank you to NetGalley and the author/publisher for an early copy of this title in exchange for an honest review.
"By all means, take as long as you need. I just love watching things age in real time." 💚
I received an ARC copy of Stolen Moments from NetGalley and I am so glad I picked it up. Let me start by saying that I am not a big fan of cliffhangers, so I was a little bit mad that I didn’t know it would end like that. Add in the fact that the website link for part of the cliffhanger didn’t work for me and yes, I was even more frustrated 🤦🏼♀️. But honestly, setting that aside, this was such an enjoyable and emotional read.
This book has the added intrigue of being based on a true story, and I found myself reading between the lines trying to figure out who might be who. That layer made the whole experience feel even more real and raw. You know I love an MM romance, and this one absolutely delivered. Alexander and Christopher pulled me straight into their world, and by the end they had claimed a little piece of my heart. The tenderness of their connection, the stolen moments between them, and the constant push and pull of their circumstances gave the story so much emotional weight.
I really appreciated how the book explored not just their romance but also the complexity of secrecy, longing and societal expectations. It’s not just a love story, it’s about the risks we take for love and the heartbreak that sometimes comes with it. The pacing was well done, the chemistry between the leads was undeniable, and the writing had a quiet intensity that kept me engaged throughout.
Yes, I’m impatient now and desperate for book two because I need to know what happens next. My heart is still breaking for both Alexander and Christopher and I hope their story gets the resolution they deserve. This is one of those romances that lingers in your thoughts long after you’ve finished, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys heartfelt MM stories.

I liked this a lot but I felt like it leaned a little too heavily on drama, tragic backstories, etc. Even though it’s the author’s first fiction book, you can tell he’s written before and the writing made this super readable. What I appreciated most was how accurate most the music industry side of things felt. I used to work in live music and my partner tours with artists at Alexander’s level so I usually get pulled out of musician romances because the details are so off. Even having something as simple as having Christopher pick up his passes at will call made me sigh in relief.
The romance was very insta-lovey, which I don’t always mind, but it felt extra rushed knowing this is a trilogy. I would’ve loved a slower build but I still enjoyed getting to know the characters and watching their relationship develop, and I’m sure the backstory drama will play a bigger role later on. I just hope they’re not broken up for most of book two, but either way, I’ll definitely keep reading the series.

Oh man, what a cliffhanger!!! That will be my only “spoiler” because I somehow didn’t realize this was a trilogy until the end 😂 I really enjoyed this book for a few reasons, though there were a few issues I had that kept me from giving it a 5 star rating.
Alexander and Christopher have two very different backgrounds. Alex’s life is made extremely challenging due to his celebrity status and still being closeted, and Chris is still struggling with a shitty past trauma forced on him from idiotic parents. But honestly, those are at least semi-realistic things queer people have to deal with even now. I loved Rob, Kelly, and Daniel as side characters, and I enjoyed some of the inner monologuing that depicted anxiety pretty realistically imo. I struggled with Paul (which you’re obviously supposed to) and hated that he had so much influence on Alex, and screw Connie while you’re at it, too. They were so incredibly unlikeable that I don’t understand how they’re still around. On top of that, I hated the ending, but that’s mainly because I didn’t realize it would be a trilogy and I thought it might tie up nice and tidy with a happily ever after.
I will definitely be continuing this series, though I’m mad I have to wait for the second book 😂😂 I really liked this book and suggest others dive into their world…while knowing the end is a cliffhanger. Can’t wait to see where this story goes and what else this author writes!
Thanks to NetGalley and Jackal Publishing for this ARC.

I fully enjoyed my time reading Stolen Moments. It pulled me in for the entire time. My only issue was that the villain(s) were a bit unbelievable. Yes, I know this is fiction and I need to suspend reality. And I was able to do that up until the end of the book. I found it straining credibility to believe that the main character would be so defenseless to the manipulation of his team. That said, I can't believe it ended in a cliff-hanger and I can't wait to read the next one!
Thank you Jackal Publishing and Netgalley for this eARC, these opinions are my own. Alexander is a famous pop star who is also dealing with some past traumas. Christopher has come to London for his sister’s wedding and he has his own past to deal with. When the two meet they are instantly attracted to one another. But Alexander has to be seen as available and straight so anything that would happen between them has to remain secret. Soon their time together becomes Alexander’s escape. But when everything they have has to remain secret can love survive? I thought this one was really sweet! I liked the character development and I do enjoy characters with complicated pasts! If you like music this book does a great job of discussing the music industry and its difficulties as well! It does end on a cliffhanger because this is the first of three! Excited to see what’s next in A. B. Jackson’s series!

Conditional Love? Or over controlled?
In my first book in stolen romance series we get a very frustrating cliffhanger. If knew ahead of time I would never have asked for the ARC to review. Part of my frustration comes from the release date of Stolen Hearts isn’t until July 30, 2026. While I liked stolen moments cliffhangers are a huge red flag! The author writes with so much intensity and emotion pulled from each book it’s felt page after page. Some are quick witted story lines are so perfect and lets you believe you have a front row seat. So being able to read this love story didn’t disappoint. The authors ability to have two separate individuals struggling in their everyday life and try to navigate someone else’s thoughts, needs and desires was intense and gives all the fills.

This book has everything I love in a book. Then you add that it's beautifully written and believable. It is easily a five star read. Written in dual POV this story flows so incredibly well that the next thing you know you’re 80% into the book and loving every second of it. The believable way the characters interact is perfect. Run, Hop, Jump or use your (1 click) finger to do whatever you have to do and get this amazing book. It'll break your heart, you'll want to scream with frustration and it'll let you discover that love just might conquer all. The chemistry is steamy and sweet and oh so romantic.
Thanks Netgally for letting me read and review.📚💕
Absolutely addicted to this book! I was lucky enough to read the ARC and could not put it down! I binged the whole thing in a single day!
MM love story with high stakes, hidden romance, and secrets on both sides. What more could you want? This book hooked me from the beginning, just like a great banger of a song! I became invested in these characters, loved these characters, cried and cheered for these characters like I was one of them. I absolutely cannot wait for the second one!
A.B. Jackson has a unique way of writing that is rare…it makes the reader forget they are reading and feels like watching a movie. I would not be at all surprised if this series becomes a movie. If you are a fan of Red, White and Royal Blue, you will fall in love all over again with Alexander and Christopher in Stolen Moments!
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me an advanced readers copy of Stolen Moments by A.B. Jackson. First off, I’m so glad that I read some of the reviews first so I went in knowing that this is a trilogy and that Stolen Moments does end in a cliffhanger and what a cliffhanger it is. I am dying for the next book, Stolen Hearts, but unfortunately have to wait until July. I loved this story and thought that Alex and Chris were such a cute couple. They had immediate chemistry but also complicated pasts that lead to some toxic issues in their brief, but passionate, time together. Alex is a musician that is in London for a 7 night gig while Chris is traveling for his sister’s wedding. They just happen to be staying in the same hotel which is where 99% of the book takes place. Alex is plagued by the death of his past lover while Chris is dealing with difficult family dynamics, especially after the death of his father. The book shows how these two are managing, often poorly, all the challenges that come their way while also trying to find their happy ending. There are two characters, Paul and Connie… listen, if you’ve read the book you will understand how angry these two make me. Overall, I really enjoyed this book and I’m excited to see where the story goes from here. I rate this book 4.5⭐️, rounding up to 5 for Goodreads. My only issue with the book are some of the miscommunication moments and Alex got on my nerves. I don’t want to give any spoilers but he’s an adult that can act very childlike at times. Would definitely recommend reading this when released!

This is a terrific, fun read and I look forward to the next instalment!
The characters are engaging - if a little frustrating in places, but the setting feels authentic, as do the secondary characters.

Another enjoyable m4m romance with grit, drama, and the price of fame. As I often say, and now I begin to wonder more, is this for real? Love the story, but I struggle to accept the way people talk to each other in these books. I am quite sarcastic but only with those I know and love. I'd never say the things I say to my family and friends (meaning be witty and sarcastic when they do something funny, or I do something dumb). But in the m4m romances I've come to adore, the do it with strangers too. I'd feel so guilty! And then there's the sex - almost always so perfect. Ha.... reality vs. fantasy, I suppose. Some of us readers prefer one over other. But I say all that acknowledging I really like this book and the characters. They have charm and an obnoxious personality unlike some where it's all rudeness. Adorable, funny, and filled with surprising scenes. I fell for them as a couple, but fate intervened in the end and left us stranded. Will they or won't they... get together, that is. You'll have to read book 2 in the series. :)

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Stolen Moments is an intense, emotional and highly addictive book that blends celebrity pressure, forced proximity and instant attraction into a dramatic queer romance. From the outset it pulls you into a world where fame suffocates and privacy is a luxury few can afford.
Alexander Morgan lives at the height of pop superstardom, adored by millions yet trapped by secrecy and expectation. His life feels brittle beneath the surface, shaped by control and fear rather than freedom. Christopher Foster enters his orbit at a vulnerable moment, carrying his own past trauma and emotional scars. Their connection is immediate and charged, offering both men a rare sense of escape from lives that have long felt dictated by others.
The book handles anxiety, internal conflict and the weight of being closeted with surprising realism. Alexander’s inner monologue in particular captures the constant tension between image and identity, while Christopher’s struggles feel grounded and painfully believable. Their stolen time together becomes both refuge and risk, deepening the emotional stakes with every encounter.
The supporting cast adds texture and warmth, with several characters providing genuine support and contrast to the more toxic influences surrounding Alexander. Some figures are intentionally difficult to tolerate, and their control and manipulation are frustrating to witness, but that frustration feels purposeful and effective in highlighting the imbalance of power in Alexander’s life.
The pacing is fast and emotionally charged, and the romance is undeniably spicy. Be warned that this book ends on a significant cliffhanger. While that was difficult emotionally, it also made it impossible not to want more. Stolen Moments is dramatic, heartfelt and compelling, and I will absolutely be continuing the series to see where this story goes next.

Cue the screaming fans, because Stolen Moments absolutely delivers.
First things first: I highly recommend reading the prequel novella Stolen Nights before diving into Stolen Moments. That background makes all the difference. It lays the groundwork for Alexander Morgan’s ghosts, the ones he keeps carefully at bay, and exposes the coercion and cover-ups his team uses to protect his image while quietly suffocating him. Going into the novel with that context adds so much emotional weight and tension to every interaction.
The chemistry between Christopher Foster and Alexander Morgan is electric. Both men carry their own insecurities, Alex with the crushing weight of fame and control, Chris with his fears of being collateral damage, but together they find something rare and deeply moving. Watching them navigate stolen glances, quiet moments, and an undeniable pull toward one another had me fully invested from the start. Even when Alex’s team does everything possible to keep them apart, their connection refuses to fade.
And the steam? Let’s just say these scenes might make you sing. They’re sensual, emotionally charged, and feel like a refreshing change from many MM romances… intimate without losing heart, and perfectly matched to the characters’ growing trust and desire.
That said, this is also one of those books where you’ll find yourself physically shaking it because the characters will not communicate. The internalized fears, the assumptions, the misunderstandings, it’s frustrating in the best way, because it feels real. You know half the angst could be solved with one honest conversation… but of course, that would be far too easy.
And then there’s that cliffhanger. The kind that has you staring at the book in disbelief, maybe even threatening to throw it, because you know what’s coming next, and you are absolutely not ready.
To top it all off, the original songs and bonus material are such a brilliant touch. They add depth to Chris’s and Alex’s stories and blur the line between fiction and fandom. I loved how immersive it felt—like being part of the crowd, screaming for more, desperate for the next chapter, the next song, the next stolen moment.
A.B. Jackson’s debut is emotional, addictive, and unapologetically dramatic in all the best ways. I am officially a fan, and I’ll be waiting (impatiently) for what comes next.
Thank you Jackal Publishing, NetGalley, and A. B. Jackson for this eARC!!

Stolen Moments (Book 1 of The Stolen Romance series) by A.B. Jackson turned out to be the perfect way to close out my 2025 reading year—and I mean that literally. I started this ARC on my flight from the US to London and finished it on the Tube ride back to my flat. I didn’t want to put it down, didn’t care how tired I was, and absolutely refused to wait until the next day. That alone should tell you how hard this book hooked me.
This high-emotion MM contemporary romance blends rockstar glamour with secret passion and very real personal stakes. Alexander Morgan is a world-famous pop star—polished, adored, and tightly controlled—while hiding a truth his career simply can’t survive. Enter Christopher Foster, in London for his sister’s wedding and carrying baggage of his own. Their connection is immediate, charged, and unapologetic. No meet-cute. No slow circling. They meet, they feel it, and the book owns that choice.
What really sets Stolen Moments apart is how authentic it feels. This is clearly written by a gay man, and again—that’s a compliment. Attraction comes first, and it’s messy, physical, and real. One of my favorite scenes isn’t even a big dramatic moment, but a quiet one: Alexander and Christopher lying in bed after sex, casually asking each other who they are and what they do for a living. That kind of intimacy—earned through touch before vulnerability—felt so spot-on and deeply human.
The last 60 pages? Absolute chaos (the good kind). I told myself I’d stop. I lied to myself. Next thing I knew, it was 3 a.m. and I was staring down a cliffhanger. Am I happy about that? Not exactly. But knowing this is the first book in a trilogy softened the blow—though I did initially hope these might be standalones in a shared world. Either way, I am fully invested now and desperately hoping we get a lot more Alexander-and-Christopher time going forward.
If I have one gripe, it’s that the relationship moves fast—maybe a little too fast. Falling in love that quickly stretches belief, even with the strong chemistry. That said, the book does acknowledge uncertainty, raising the question of whether this is proximity and fascination morphing into something deeper… or something more fragile.
As someone who’s worked in the entertainment industry, I found Alexander’s situation painfully accurate. It’s frustrating—and sad—that people still feel forced to hide who they are to keep a career machine running, especially when so many other livelihoods depend on that illusion. The book handles that tension thoughtfully, without sugarcoating it.
Bonus points for the side characters, especially Rob and Christopher’s sister Kelly, who bring warmth and grounding energy to an already emotionally charged story.
And finally—serious props to the author for going above and beyond the page. A.B. Jackson has written and recorded music as Alexander, available on Spotify, and it genuinely helps bring this world to life. Listening to “Alexander” while reading added another layer of immersion that felt both ambitious and incredibly effective.
Spicy, emotional, addictive, and impossible to put down, Stolen Moments was a fantastic final read of 2025—and a reminder of why I love this genre so much. Cliffhanger and all, I’ll be first in line for book two.

"See you downstairs, fanboy." I say, and wink as he heads to the door.
"Just don't go writing any more songs about me," he laughs back.
Before I get into my review of “Stolen Moments”, I’d like to thank NetGalley and Jackal Entertainment Publishing for the early eARC.
After a four month reading slump, this was definitely the book I needed to get back into reading! Stolen Moments displays the ups and downs of the music industry and the brutal nature of trying to have a private life while living in the public eye. This book is definitely for lovers of the Disney Channel movie “Starstruck”!
I absolutely adored both Alexander and Christopher as characters, I truthfully could read three more books about them and never get bored. The plot was well written and kept me hooked and entertained from the first page!
This was my first time reading A.B. Jackson and I very quickly fell in love with his writing style. I cannot wait to read more from this author because I am hooked.
This was the perfect book to end 2025 with and I can happily say I am giving it five stars!
Thank you so much to NetGalley and A. B. Jackson for the ARC
“Stolen Moments” is the first book in the “Stolen Romance” series where we follow Alexander Morgan, a popstar who is barely making it through a tour and Christopher Foster, a British marketing specialist, who’s back in the country for his sister’s wedding. Alexander lives surrounded by his team, and no one can come near him, so when his hotel neighbor, Christopher, who has no idea who he is, starts to see Alex beyond the star and the man, walls start to tear down.
Both Alexander and Christopher are amazing characters, both with their own demons, but I believe Alexander’s path is more complicated. He has a hard time trusting people, but with Christopher he knows he doesn’t care about the fame. Christopher is actually a private person, and he doesn’t care about Alex as a phenomenon, he just sees someone he really cares about. Alexander, the man, is fun, caring and really sweet.
Christopher has an amazing sense of humour, even though he’s riddled with guilt over past issues in his family, Christopher deals with his emotions through humour. While not healthy, it’s a coping mechanism better than Alex’s. Alex tends to turn to alcohol and spirals a lot since he’s always surrounded by his team, who treat him as a money grab and not really as Alex, the person. This is one of the reasons why I say Alex’s path is more turbulent. Alex has a lot of wages to pay for his team, he feels like he has to take care of others, while only his parents and Christopher see him as someone who needs what any sane person does after a long tour: a break. It was very heartwarming to see Alex’s parents being understanding of his feelings and his thoughts. Alex needs someone like them in his life to make sure he doesn’t get burned out, since he’s really concerned for others’ well-being way above himself.
“Stolen Moments” finishes with a cliffhanger, and it will break your heart reading Alex and Christopher’s love story towards a happy ending. Alex makes a lot of mistakes, but he also experiences love and kindness for the first time in years, so while the road to their HEA is not easy, I’m hoping Alex will be able to live the life he always wanted and that Christopher can also fight his demons on the second book of the series.

Thank you to Netgalley and the UK publishers for an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
If you are looking for an MM meet-cute book with the famous person trope, this fits the bill perfectly. The characters are well defined, and there are many funny bits of dialogue throughout.
The characters clearly have chemistry, and although it was a bit insta-love rather than yearning to begin with, I feel the end of the novel goes a long way to making up for that. The tension definitely ramps up and it sets up perfectly for the sequel.
I was steady reading, and of course flip the page and see the spoiler at the bottom of the page and see 99% read. Legit gaps, couldn’t believe it just ended.
The story is adorable. Both, Chris and Alex, have their own past and grief to work through. They weren’t as open in the beginning as it was a quick attraction. They thought it would be a quick thing, I mean who wouldn’t when you meet a celebrity in a hotel and end up staying in the room next to them! But they both became obsessed. The sweet strangers to lovers trope, and it was so adorable. They each wanted to help each other with their grief but also with just being themselves.
I did not realize it would be a series and I really wanna see how their relationship turns out. Thank you NetGalley and A.B Jackson team for the advance read.

Christopher and Alex have taken my heart! They are both such hot messes but they compliment each other very well. How dare this book be only one part of their story and leave on such a cliffhanger!
This book is such a unique experience as well, author A.B. Jackson curated and commissioned Alex's songs (which can be found on Spotify under Alexander Morgan), so you can actually listen to some of the key songs that pop up multiple times throughout the book. That was such an amazing and interesting way to experience Christopher and Alex's story.
Their story is such a fast paced whirlwind that makes sense for them and I think lays really good foundation for them to move forward, especially with how to book ended. Though their timeline doesn't fully allow them to have the typical get-to-know-you phase you can definitely still feel their connection start to develop outside of the physical. I do wish we got to see more of that development though.
I'm hoping the next part of their story comes sooner rather than later because I NEED their HEA. I'm excited to see what Jackson comes up with next in their story!!

This book. This book! Know going in though- IT ENDS ON A CLIFFHANGER! It’s book one in a trilogy so I’m assuming the second installment will also be a cliffhanger. Unlike other books that end the same, this does warn you in the description though, so where I usually would knock out a star for cliffhangers, I’m not going to do that for this one.
Stolen Moments is the story of Alexander Morgan, singing sensation who is in London for a series of shows at the O2, and Christopher Foster, regular guy who works in Marketing and is town for his sister’s wedding, AND who happens to be staying in the same hotel, only a couple of doors down from Alex. Sparks fly basically immediately (insta-lust, if you will), though they don’t even know if the other one is interested at first (spoiler alert- they are!).
The chemistry between these two is through the roof. It’s also really sweet seeing how nervous they are before anything even happens between them. They both overthink and second guess interactions and it just feels very realistic. If you’ve ever had any kind of crush in your life, you’re reading it knowing exactly what they’re experiencing.
Even though Alex is a huge star, you really get a peek behind the curtain to see how his fame really affects him. He’s supposed to be two years sober but has fallen off the wagon, and is struggling with who he can trust, how public his life is, and the fact that he has to hide his sexuality. Christopher is going through his own struggles, particularly with his parents. You really feel for them both and just really want them to succeed and reach a place in their lives where they’re truly happy.
I’ve never read an A.B. Jackson book before but this one made me into a new fan. I devoured it in one sitting in just a few hours. I can’t wait to read the next installment, and everything else that comes after!

Thank you to the author and publishing team for my early access to Stolen Moments, out now!!!
This series just might become my new obsession. Another 5 stars to the author who can make a book messy in the best ways!
I had originally planned to devour this book right after reading the accompanying novella but life seemed to just keep getting in the way. This ultimately turned out for the best as I was able to savour each chapter that I squeezed in.
This book follows the life of mega star Alexander Morgan and the trials of keeping up his public image while trying to be true to the person he wants to be. This comes with many twists and turns that will have you laughing, crying, and maybe even screaming at the pages as you read. That to me is the show of a good writer, or really any good piece of art. It makes you feel things.
I can not say that I agree with all the decisions made by the characters but I have also never been a famous popstar, although my inflated ego may make you think differently. With all that said I recommend this to someone who wants some yearning, emotional meltdowns, drama, and just a little bit of spice. I look forward to what the author has coming next!
