King is tired. He and his DEA crew are always coming up short and losing face to a high-end dope dealer who goes by the name of Jackrabbit. Not only that, but King is disgusted with the catch-and-release system that the courts have adopted, forcing his team to chase the same idiots again and again.

He resigns. He decides that he wants to try his hand at running a gun shop in northern Colorado. That is until he has an odd encounter with a couple of Hispanic burglars who are past their sell-by-date. They suggest that there may be more attractive business opportunities in southern Colorado. Intrigued, King drives down to La Veta to look into the opportunities, but little does he know who will be conducting the interview…

On the way, he stops to assist a captivating young woman whose vehicle has broken down beside the road… and the games begin.
