This book is a love letter to bookshops, reading and romance. It’s sweet, a little spicy and so so cosy.
I loved how the relationship between Ella and Henry developed, they chose to be mature and vulnerable over miscommunicating which was a joy to read. I also loved the setting, I wish I could visit The Last Page. The side characters were also excellent, I especially loved Charlie, and would love a book for him!
If you’re looking for a cosy bookshop romance the I absolutely recommend The Last Page.

Katie holt knows how to make me swoon . Give me a green flag mmc in a bookish environment and I will swoon . Especially when you make the romance a slowburn. Katie first did it with Aiden in not in my book and she did it again with Henry. Katie just knows how to write men who truly make me swoon
I was lucky enough to have gotten the arc for not in my book in 2024 and when I finished it I instantly wanted to know when Katie’s next book would be in my hands . So the fact I have this one too means everything to me . Katie’s writing to me captivates me it makes me swoon - has me laughing .
Ella and Henry are literally it for me . This may not be a small town romance but it is indeed set in a big city New York to be precise . It’s also set in an indie bookstore with both main and side characters that are hilarious and matter to the story !!!
Henry is a hot sad nerd - which I love . I love me some hot sad nerd guys . They are hot!!! Henry is defo my type of book bf fr .
One of my fave quotes
“ I like you “ “I like you too . A lot , Carmella . “ ( to me this is the equivalent of everything)
also hehe the way they kiss once before 73% ( not a spoiler ) just like to let you all know this is truly a slowburn . - not telling you what percentage or anything ( read it for yourself when it’s out ) for me I love this !!!
This has no 3rd act breakup and is a truly delightful book to read . I Enjoyed every second of this book. I loved Ella and Henry’s romance . I loved the bookstore , and ofc the found family . This was everything I want in a romance
This book is utterly charming , it beautifully captures the nostalgic feeling of finding your home among books , it will have you reminising about your childhood and how you came to love reading. It had me remembering how i loved spending my weekends as a teen scouring bookshops for my next read and the giddy feeling of which book do i choose to escape into.
This was such a lovely romance novel , I throughly enjoyed my self ,Ella and Henry were both quietly struggling with grief and come together with a common goal , make The last page bookshop sustainable , I loved that through out the pages of this book you see them both slowly fall in love , battle grief , depression and ultumetely find their family ,home and sense of belonging .

A book about a Book shop, I'm in. This was such a cute read. I couldn't put it down and I read it in one sitting. The story was cute and easy to follow and had good pacing. There was a great cast of characters and I loved the place settings in the story. I really enjoyed this novel and I look forward to reading more by the author.
