This was such a great concept for a not really vampire, mafia romance. The world adjusting was well done and built up just enough of difference from the real world to add that extra something to the story. The characters were well developed, especially the blood demons because they have so much more history. Anna was interesting because she wasn’t the young ingenue but instead was a successful, intelligent, mature woman and it made her decisions and thought processes throughout the story feel more real.
The narrators were wonderful and the editing and production were well done.

I was unsure about this one going into it but ended up really loving it. The slow tension building between Anna and Marco was amazing! I loved that the author didn't feel inclined to rush them together and to sacrifice plot for smut. The paranormal romance aspect was beautifully done, I loved how the mafia world and demons were blended together for a unique story. I also really enjoyed some of the side characters. Siobhan and Luca were so well-rounded and I hope to encounter more about them as the series progresses. I think Anna is a super relatable FMC and I loved how Marco was a dangerous guy but felt so safe for her. Anna coming into her own and becoming more self confident was presented beautifully as well. The narration was so good and the emotions were felt in every scene.
