Bryn Ashvale has been choosing the dead for a thousand years. As one of Odin's original Valkyries, she now works as a coroner's assistant in modern London, drawn to the dead in a way that is professionally useful and personally complicated. She has no interest in the living, and even less in the ancient Celtic god who just walked into her morgue.
