Monster’s Day at School by Lauren Fornoles is an absolutely adorable and heartwarming read that perfectly captures those first-day-of-school jitters.
My children absolutely loved this book—both the story and the visuals kept them engaged from beginning to end. It’s a perfect addition to any child’s bookshelf, especially for families navigating those big “firsts.”

This was such a fun and adorable read! 👻📚 A perfect mix of spooky and sweet, this story follows a little boy nervous about his first day of school—only to discover it’s not so scary after all.

I loved how it gently tackles first-day jitters in a way that’s relatable for kids, while keeping things light and playful. The “spooky but not scary” vibe makes it perfect for both back-to-school season and fall reading 🍂✨

The illustrations were bright and engaging, and the message about facing fears and adjusting your mindset was such a great takeaway for young readers.

A cute, confidence-boosting story that kids will definitely enjoy! 💛

Thank you to NetGalley, the author, and publisher for the opportunity to read this early!

Not all monsters are scary, some of them are even scared. This Is a cute date that follows kids and monsters a like as they go to school. Some of the monsters are scared to go to school because of the other monsters but they are told it will be ok. In the end they figure out they were all a little scared until they got together. A good book showing kids it's ok to be scared but if you are brave you will win in the end.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this arc.
