Description
Jayce Torres has only ever dreamed of escape-escape from bruises, foster homes, and the voices that say she'll never be enough. Erin Walker has carried the weight of raising her younger sister since tragedy shattered their family. Leon Thatcher, a war-haunted veteran, just wants to disappear into the waves and forget the world.
But when the three step through a campus archway in Corpus Christi, the world shatters-and reforms into something impossible: a crystalline city under a lavender sky, trolls in cyberpunk suits, and a school that trains plane walkers to cross realities and rewrite what is...and what should never be.
At Aetherion Academy, Jayce, Erin, and Leon are offered a place to belong-but only if they can survive the wonders and dangers that could unmake entire worlds. As old wounds and new powers collide, they must decide: will they be students, survivors, or something far more?
Because at Aetherion, if anything is possible...then everything is.

If you like imaginative fantasy with a strong emotional core, here’s one to keep an eye out for: *If Anything, Then Everything* by Cameron T. May.
It follows three very different characters—each dealing with their own struggles—who are suddenly pulled into a completely different reality and end up at a school where people can travel between worlds. Expect strange, vivid settings, high-stakes training, and a lot of mystery about what’s really going on.
From what I’ve seen, it blends big, creative world-building with more personal themes like trauma, identity, and belonging, giving it that found-family feel with a darker twist.
I’ll likely be recommending this to fantasy readers who enjoy portal stories and character-driven adventures, especially if you’re drawn to stories about people finding where they fit.
