I love this author. She writes with beautiful detail and complexed characters. There are great twists and turns but her books just make me happy. I’d highly recommend this sassy, sexy story.

oh swoon. there are some books that you just want to dive into and live amongst the feeling it gives you. this was one of those books for me. arrrrgh im doing a ridiculously big smile over it even now! Sandy has given me some brilliant reads before so i was already knowing this could be another. and it was, and then some. it might be my favourite of hers yet.
Delaney and Nicholas have a matched holiday done for them. great, stress free really if all the details are out of their hands(though you wouldn't catch me doing it!) buuut arriving at this wonderful destination doesn't bring them all the joys of the perfect match made in heaven holiday. not least when and because the arrival to the hotel suite brings with it someone who isn't meant to be on holiday with them and errrm definitely not in their room! whaaaat. turns out the partners are in a whole different country together. oops. thats some mix- up.
so what do they do with this horrible situation?
as soon as things started to unfold i was in. actually scrap that even the first few lines of this book i was in. you know even from those first pages when you get the good vibe feels in a read? yeh, Sandy has done that with hers before and did it once again here. i was settled in and ready. and what a beautiful book. what a gem of a story and hahaha to that premise which then took flight in all the wonderful ways a romance book can. there were far too many moments that made me laugh and smile. and those big cheesy smiles too, the ones you wouldn't want anyone in public to witness.
they key to these reads is also the more deep and emotional moments though. for me when you see the smiley bits it has to come from people you care about, it has to come from people who you know the story of. its not just piff, cliche or surface level. and with these characters i got all that. and it really hit me in those moments too. and they were all handled with the sensitivity and grace they deserved to fit with the book perfectly.
this book was everything i could have wished for and needed today. the world needs books to come into our lives like this one. im all the more appreciative of books like this at the moment. they are balms to the soul.
also made me want to go to this location. buuuut i know i never will be able to so doing so via this book was just the thing i could've needed instead. and boy did it deliver those scenes. i almost felt like i could feel the warm rays and beautiful colours around me too.
I have always been a book lover, and romance has been my favorite genre for years. Over time, I have found certain tropes that consistently pull me in, and forced proximity is definitely one that has been growing on me lately. Because of that, and how much I enjoyed “My Big Greek Island Ex-Scape,” I was really excited to pick up this book.
This story grabbed my attention right from the very beginning. The premise was so intriguing, and once everything started unfolding, I was completely hooked. There were so many moments that made me laugh, but it also had its fair share of emotional scenes that really pulled at my heart. I especially appreciated how the characters were written and how their situations were handled. Even when the story touched on more sensitive topics, everything was approached with care, which made the overall experience even more enjoyable.
All in all, I really enjoyed this book. It had the perfect balance of humor and heart, and the ending left me feeling satisfied. I will definitely be keeping an eye out for what this author writes next.

This was a lovely feel good read about two couples who end up with each other’s partners in a different country. Delaney has just landed in the lovely island of Capri when waiting for her partner, in walks Nick who’s expecting to see his partner Pip, but are stuck with each other while there other half’s are in Iceland. It oozes sun, sea and romance, with a sprinkle of spice. The author keeps the book light, it’s a perfect read for a day on the beach. Great characters and liked the way it was written with the dual aspect. A brilliant 5 star read. Thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for a copy.
