My god. What a rollercoaster.

This book had me GRIPPED. I felt every type of emotion alongside the characters, themes of historical cold cases, haunting, feminine rage, witchcraft and many more I can’t share at risk of spoilers!

THE PLOT TWISTS? WOW! so so unpredictable. I had so many guesses and I was trying to solve the mysteries as the story went on but I was so very wrong, every time! It felt like I was holding my breath the last 30% of the book. It was shock after shock and I absolutely loved it.
The tension. The slow buildup to the truth. The characters.
It’s one of those books you fully immerse your self into and I am very grateful to have revived and e-RAC of this book.
Thanks to NetGalley, the publisher and Riley Sager for providing me the opportunity to read this books and I am very excited for its official publishing.
Riley Sager is in top form here with a deliciously eerie, fast-paced thriller that completely pulled me in. The isolated island setting is dripping with atmosphere, and the mystery surrounding the vanished women had me hooked from the start. I loved how the story blended a historical disappearance with the present-day film production — it gave the whole book an unsettling, layered feel.
There’s a creeping sense of dread throughout, with strange noises in the dark, mounting paranoia, and plenty of suspects to keep you second-guessing everything. I was intrigued early on, but once the story really took off, I could not put it down. The twists kept coming, and the final reveal was hugely satisfying.
Suspenseful, immersive, and ridiculously readable, this is one of those books that makes you say “just one more chapter” until suddenly it’s 2am. I flew through it and loved every minute.
