It’s been a long time since I read a book in a few hours and HER ADVANTAGE was it!! I dove into this book!

The dual POVs between Leonara aka Leo and George, an all-star pro tennis player. The last book I read about tennis was ‘Carrie Soto Is Back’ and despite them being totally different, I felt the pure admiration and love of tennis written in both books.

As an athlete myself it was wonderful being in George’s head, and understanding some of what he went through. Enter Leo and he’s completely head over heels for her! Coupled with the romantic backdrop of Paris, I liked how their relationship started out from misunderstanding and slowly grew into something more. I wish there were more conflict written into the novel, but otherwise, it’s an interesting and ambitious debut filled with spice and longing.

I enjoyed how the MMC was 30, so was the FMC which evened things out between them. The plot was quick and sometimes made me think of those whirlwind romance you see in films. References to classic romcoms like Pretty Woman and Nottinghill were nicely woven into the plot, together with mental health awareness such as anxiety and family issues.

Her Advantage became a five star read to me when George started to realize his struggles and I admired him for standing up for himself and those he cares about. As for Leo’s character development, I liked how she stood up for herself too, guiding George and just being a completely selfless individual.

I wish the ending was longer, and hoped for another epilogue! Overall, I hope there are more books set in this world!

we are coming round again soon to Wimbledon. so getting me even more ready is a great read featuring the game itself. and what a brilliant title this was for the book.
this book features Leo and George. Leo is assigned to this pro tennis player in her job and she less than happy about this. but could there be more to him, more to this. yes!yes indeed there is and i loved to read about it.
i really liked how the balance between loving the game and having it featured never outweighed the story for those who dont play or even have a love for the game. you could totally follow along.
the pov meant we get to fall in love with them both and how they start to think and feel about each other. i got all sorts of wide grins reading it from each side.
i loved how each of them had their strengths, they had their grit and weren't going to be pushed around. buuuuut this doesn't mean they can feel or be vulnerable or be there for others. there wasn't that arrogance you sometimes see. just two people fighting for what they want. and when this became each other it was even better to see.
their chemistry i was onboard with even before they were!
they both grew. and they both helped each other the care element in this book was one of my favourite things.
this was a brill read. i loved being whisked away to the world within these pages and our two characters made me smile constantly.
