Description
A tense thriller and burgeoning romance between Karen, the daughter of Ed and Elke Willjohn, and an American conservationist. Brilliant but vicious young psychopath Damian plans to kidnap Karen on her vacation from university in the USA, having found out that Ed is a multi-millionaire from the family's American business conglomerate. The kidnapping is both dramatic and unusually carried out. Damian evades capture but, in a breathless finale, is tracked to the island of St Lucia in the Caribbean.
The Willijohn parents are featured in the previous two standalone books of the trilogy, Pursuit of Treachery and Deceit of Treachery.
About the author
Chris immigrated to South Africa as a child and attended the same school as Wilbur Smith (although the two never met at the time). He has spent his working life in the film and television industry, starting back in Britain with the BBC in London, then ATV in Birmingham, where at the time he was the youngest Studio Manager in Britain.
Later, in South Africa, he wrote and directed film and TV commercials and had four South African entries at the Cannes Advertising Festival. Chris also wrote, directed and produced documentaries, winning eight international awards. He then concentrated on writing screenplays and had six features films and seven television series screened. He is currently obtaining finance for an action-adventure movie that he has written and will be co-producing.
Chris is a published poet and gives frequent readings. Pursuit of Treachery, the first novel in the Willjohn trilogy is his first foray into novel writing for some years.
