Description
AI is transforming everything. Your kids will work alongside AI their entire lives. Yet most families feel lost about where to start the conversation.
Welcome to the AI Generation: AI and You is the first book in an interactive trilogy designed for parents and kids ages 8 to 12 to read together. Three AI character guides (Pixel, Echo, and Algo) walk kids through what AI actually is, how it learns, and what it can and cannot do.
Real kids drive the story. Heman Bekele built a soap that could change how the world treats skin cancer. Shanya Gill, age 12, built a fire detector smarter than a smoke alarm. Each chapter ends with a Hands-On Mission your kid can complete and a Parent Corner that gives the adult in the room the deeper context.
By the end, your kid will have directed an AI for the first time, with a real purpose, and earned the AI Explorer badge. Most adults have not done that yet. Your kid will have.
Books 2 and 3 of the trilogy launch June 2026.

When I saw this book on Netgalley I was intrigued. My kids are very young still, but AI is here and will not go away. Therefor I find it handy to find ways to speak to my kids about it. This book mainly show the possibilities when you guide AI to help fix problems in the world. All examples are created by kids. I think this is very handy book to help kids and yourself think about AI. Now I want to do the same but about the safety regarding AI. Luckily this seems to be the theme of the second book!
I would like the author and Netgalley for sharing the ebook with me.
