Description

Crack the code, and you'll save millions of lives. But knowing it exists will get you killed.

When two American embassies in northern Africa are bombed, CIA operatives, Ridley Fox and Nita Parris, are assigned to track down the perpetrators. However, when their top asset is killed in a failed op, the agents suspect that there may be a new threat. Their search for the truth puts them on a collision course with a powerful multinational—which will go to extreme lengths to bury its criminal activities. However, the agents soon learn that someone with a personal vendetta against that company not only knows their secrets but will expose them in a way that could result in the largest single-day attack against America.

Marketing Plan

**Marketing Plan for The Demeter Code on NetGalley

Primary Goal: Increase the number of verified reviews for The Demeter Code to above 500 across NetGalley, Amazon, and Goodreads, and simultaneously recruit a dedicated pool of international reviewers who will also receive early digital access to The Cadmus Imperative (releasing November 30, 2026).

Target Audience: Fans of fast-paced, science-driven thrillers with global settings—readers of Michael Crichton, James Rollins, Steve Berry, and anyone who loves espionage, genetic engineering, and high-stakes conspiracies. Geographically, I am focusing on English-language readers in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia.

1. Pre-Campaign Buzz Building (May 2026)

At the end of May 2026, I will release exclusive Chapter 1 of The Cadmus Imperative for free on my author website. Readers must sign up for my newsletter to unlock it. This immediately builds a segmented, international mailing list of readers already invested in the series’ world. Every new subscriber receives a welcome email that prominently features a direct link to the NetGalley listing for The Demeter Code and an invitation to request a review copy. The email emphasizes that The Demeter Code is the perfect standalone introduction to the thriller universe that continues in The Cadmus Imperative.

2. NetGalley-Specific Promotion On my website, a dedicated “For Reviewers” page will showcase the NetGalley widget and provide a quick one-click path to request the book.

3. Reviewer and Book Blogger Outreach

I will contact book clubs via their members I’ll meet throughout the spring and summer, inviting them to a ZOOM/TEAMS Q&A about the characters and briefly speak to them about The Cadmus Imperative. I will send personalized outreach via email or DM, briefly introducing The Demeter Code, offering an instant digital ARC through the NetGalley link, and inviting them to an exclusive Zoom Q&A about the novel’s science and characters. In every ARC, a note after the final chapter will read: “Thank you for reading! If you enjoyed this, look for THE CADMUS IMPERATIVE on November 30, 2026. Sign up for my newsletter to read Chapter 1 now—and to receive an automatic invite to review the next book.” This directly harvests interested reviewers for the next launch.

4. Cross-Promotion to Build the Cadmus Reviewer Base

When the exclusive Chapter 1 of The Cadmus Imperative goes live, the webpage will include a banner: “While you wait for November 30, explore the book that started it all. Request a review copy of THE DEMETER CODE on NetGalley.” I will create a “Review Crew” segment inside my newsletter list. Anyone who posts a review of The Demeter Code (NetGalley, Goodreads, or retailer) can opt in to receive an automatic pre-approval link for The Cadmus Imperative on NetGalley as soon as it goes live. This not only rewards current reviewers but guarantees a strong launch-day reviewer pool for my next release. I will run a digital Instagram giveaway for The Demeter Code to generate leads and early-interest signals; winners will be directed to NetGalley for easy digital access. **5. Community Engagement and International Growth** I will be active in carefully selected online communities, such as Reddit’s r/thrillers, Goodreads thriller groups, and appropriate Facebook reader groups. Whenever group rules allow, I will mention that The Demeter Code is available for digital review on NetGalley, framing it as an opportunity for readers who love discovering new voices. My newsletter subscription form on the website will include an optional country field, allowing me to segment subscribers by region. I will then tailor future ARC announcements to highlight reviewers in the US and UK, further encouraging international word-of-mouth. I will hold a live Instagram/Zoom Q&A towards the middle of the campaign, discussing the science of the Cadmus universe. During the event, I will drop the NetGalley link and urge attendees to grab their digital review copy.

*6. Metrics and Timeline

Weekly: Monitor NetGalley dashboard for requests, approval rates, and reviews posted.

Monthly: Track total reviews on Amazon/Goodreads against the campaign-start benchmark, aiming for 500 reviews by August 2026.

End of Campaign: Evaluate newsletter sign-ups from the Chapter 1 incentive, segmented by country, to confirm growth in US and UK audiences. Use this data to refine targeting for The Cadmus Imperative’s full ARC campaign in late 2026. This plan ensures The Demeter Code reaches the widest possible pool of digital reviewers, that every review plants a seed for The Cadmus Imperative, and that my readership expands solidly beyond Eastern Ontario into major English-language markets.
