Cathie Kincade lives in the Isle of Man with her Mum, Dad and siblings. Her Dads a fisherman and her Mun struggles to make ends meet. Cathie has left school and the only job she can get is gutting fish which she loathes doing so determined to better herself she sets off for Liverpool where she get a job in Lewis department store. Julia is her Supervisor and the pair quickly become friends and Julia offers her a room to rent in her home. Though she has left the hardship of the Isle of Man things are not plain sailing in Liverpool either. She makes a few wrong choices will the wrong man steal her heart.
