Five hundred years ago, a band of adventurers known as the Roseguard defeated a powerful sorcerer named Belcorra Haruvex, foiling her plot to destroy the teeming metropolis of Absalom. But this victory came with a great sacrifice, and the surviving members of the Roseguard founded the town of Otari near the site of their battle, naming it after their comrade who fell in battle with Belcorra. Now, the lens atop Belcorra’s Gauntlight once again gleams with eldritch power, and it falls to a new Roseguard to prevent the sorcerer’s plans from finally coming to pass. 

For ambitious dwarven bard, Cade, this is a chance to finally make a name for herself and earn acceptance into the Pathfinder Society, while veteran adventurer and Pathfinder Ezren may find himself in over his head as he strives both to uncover the mystery of Gauntlight Keep and the Abomination Vaults below, and keep Cade alive as she takes her first steps toward a life of adventure.
