Description

A children’s fantasy novel which brings the stories of mythology into the present day, whilst offering the reader a different point of view on some familiar names from mythology.

A fast-moving and humorous adventure which mixes everyday teenage thoughts and troubles with the fantastical world of the Olympians.

George thinks she’s just a normal teenager, if one with a surprisingly beautiful singing voice and a skill at sports that outraged the school bully – but that at least led to her meeting a brave girl called Alex who’s now her best friend in the world.

George’s life is turned upside down when a strange being, ‘the Herald’, appears, informing her that she’s the subject of a series of events leading to her being the only one who can save humanity, and that almost everything she has ever known – including her parents and home – is a lie. With only Alex as a witness, George and Fen (her faithful and brave German shepherd) agree to a dangerous quest to restore the Olympian Gods’ faith in humanity and save the world as we know it.

Will George succeed and return safely to Alex – who she’s beginning to realise might be more to her than just a friend – or will she fail, and deliver our world into the waiting wrath of a vengeful Zeus?
