This is a story about forgiveness as much as it is about love and loss. Forgiving ones self as well as forgiving others.

For about 80% of the book I was sure we were going to find out Derek had been cheating on Harper and that's why he didn't want her to move with him. It wasn't the case, but I wondered.

Allie and Cash deserve awards for their patience. Harper and Starn were as lovable as they were frustrating, which is fitting since that is pretty much how they see each other.

Not usually a fan of cowboy romances but I enjoyed this one.

Gone by Sarah Hill was a gripping and emotional read that kept me engaged from beginning to end. The story pulled me in quickly with its strong atmosphere, compelling characters, and steady sense of tension. I found myself wanting to keep reading just to see how everything would unfold.

What stood out most to me was the emotional depth of the story. The characters felt layered and believable, and their struggles added a real sense of weight to the narrative. I also appreciated the pacing, which balanced quieter, more reflective moments with scenes that kept the story moving.

Sarah Hill’s writing was easy to get into and created a vivid reading experience without feeling overly complicated. While there were a few moments where I wanted a little more development, overall this was an enjoyable and memorable read.

If you’re looking for a story with strong emotion, engaging characters, and a plot that keeps you invested, I’d definitely recommend giving Gone a try.

I honestly don’t know where to start with this review, I truly could gush about it on and on for hours.
I’ll be honest and admit I wasn’t sure I’d like the book while reading the prologue. All I could do was internally yell at Stran for being a dumb misogynistic teenage boy. Thankfully, he had already moved on from that by the time the book picked back on in the present. Seeing the character development happen in Stran through the story, from an annoying teenage boy to a broken man, to the loving MMC he became was absolutely beautiful. The entire time I was reading the book, I kept on praising him, his emotional maturity and willingness to admit and fix his mistakes was truly refreshing. I can confidently say a new name has been added to the “Best Book Boyfriends List”.
As for Harper, she gets tens across the board. Somehow Sarah Hill managed to balance the perfect amount of hurt and grief without creating this woe is me type of character I often seem to dislike. Her perseverance was inspiring and seeing her flourish as the story developed was so beautiful
The plot of the story itself was just as amazing as the MCs. It had me hooked straight from chapter 1 (sorry to the prologue), never wanting to put the book down. I even had to force myself to stop reading if I wanted to somehow get some sleep in. The pacing was right on point with the perfect amount of push and pull, never getting overly repetitive nor unnecessarily dragged on. Sarah Hill has written the most beautiful story I’ve read till now this year and has blessed the pages of this book with some of the best character arcs I have ever read.
This will no doubt be added to my favourites shelf.

I was not prepared for this book! It took me through a rollercoaster of emotions that made me cry, smile, swoon, and feel it all over again.


I love how grief is treated as a character in the plot. Both Stran and Harper are people mourning, grieving the loss of Derek, Harper's fiance and Stran's brother. SUddenly her HEA is gone along with her plans, her dreams, and love; Stran also feels the loss, but his grief is targeted against her, and not in a pretty way more like true enemies. As they spend time together with family and dealing with life, the healing starts turning their relationship into a slow burn that culminates into passion, and a new story begins.


An amazing read that brought pain, healing, grief, understanding, care, protection and love between a couple and a family.

This was really good! You will definitely hate Stran in the beginning but he gets better and you end up really liking him. I loved their story, I’m always a big fan of finding love after loss, so this was beautiful. I knew what it was about and still didn’t expect to cry or almost cry as much as I did. I love that Stran and Harper found each other. They both deserve to be happy.

My only complaint is that it was REALLY fast. Not that it’s a bad thing but it was just really fast paced sometimes I felt like I was getting whiplash, but it’s a very good book!

I wasn't prepared for how much this book would affect me. It started as a cowboy romance, but it turned into a beautiful story about grief, forgiveness, and learning to move forward. Harper and Stran both carry so much emotional baggage, and seeing them slowly break down their walls and find comfort in each other felt incredibly genuine.

I honestly wasn't sure I would enjoy the forbidden romance aspect, but the author handled it so thoughtfully that it never felt forced or wrong. Instead, it felt raw, emotional, and believable. Their slow journey from anger and resentment to love had me completely invested.

The supporting characters made the story even stronger, and I loved how they brought warmth and depth to the overall journey. The romance had just the right amount of spice without taking away from the emotional core of the book.

Overall, this was a heartfelt, emotional read that reminded me that healing isn't always straightforward. It's a story full of love, loss, hope, and second chances, and one that stayed with me long after I finished the last page.

This story is a hard-earned happiness, and it made me cry by the end. It touches upon so many important things like family, found family, loss, grief, love, and learning to be vulnerable so love can come in and stay.

I loved the characters in this story; each one earns a place in your heart as you read and watch them with one another. I loved Harper and how real and raw her feelings were, and how in the end she ended up exactly where she needed to be.

I loved Stran and his devotion to his family and to his word. I loved how he learned to open up and accept that he deserved a life and a love beyond being a good son and a good brother.

The ending completely left me a crying mess, and I don't want to ruin a single moment of this story.

I hope you love it as much as I did, it was worth the ride 💛
