This was a fascinating read, with Hannah navigating a difficult time after her mother died and she ended up having to face up to time with her ex through a series of rather unfortunate events! I did t expect to end up feeling sorry for Charlie but I did- Hannah made it VERY difficult to live with her, understandable I guess as she was guarding her heart, but it revealed the complexities behind a separation and how even the guilty party can end up being defensible.
A thought provoking and enjoyable read- thank you.

Hannah, is an independent, successful woman in her mid 50s, her life revolves around her job as a fashion designer.
But when Hannah's mother passes her life changes overnight. Hannah discovers that her mother never updated her will after Hannah's divorce, leaving her home to Hannah and her ex husband Charlie.
After vowing he'll leave Hannah and the home alone, Charlie's life hits rock bottom, meaning he needs to move in with Hannah.
The books then dips between the past and present, where you'll discover how the pair met and how their marriage came to a sad demise.
During this time we get to meet Charlie and Hannah's son Valentine and his girlfriend Rachel, during which you learn that Valentine is learning to embrace the Judaism through Rachel's family. The book brings a variety of characters, one of which really stood out, Ines, Hannah's best friend, she needs her own book!
This was a really enjoyable and easy read.

As someone who recently just lost her mum and has a fashion background this book was calling out to me. Transworld Publish imprint has always been a favorite of mine. I read this in one sitting. The characters were great, the storyline was great, and I was so curious to read it and see how it turned out and it exceeded my expectations
