Perfect for Summerween, Rory and Ezra are the most adorkable pair of theatre kids who have been cursed into a paranormally forced proximity.

Set during Halloween the book is full of spooky and cozy vibes. Rory is working as a ghost tour guide in her mothers curiosity shop in Boston. She reads tarot, mixes her own tea blends, performs seances, and her roommate is the tidiest spirit you’ll ever meet. Her rival, Ezra is a history buff who, despite starting the job to make ends meet where his teaching job can’t, he’s fallen in love with the theatrics and maybe a certain coworker. He loves trivia nights, collects old coins, and is covered in tattoos of his favourite historical events. (And let’s give it up for a short king)

The tropes are all my personal favourites and if you’re a fan of Ashley Poston, you should definitely pick up a Mallory Marlowe. I know I’m certainly going to be going through her back catalog while eagerly waiting for the next book.

If you love romance and anything paranormal then this story is definitely for you. There were times I was giggling from pop culture references and the bickering banter between the two main characters, and times where I was just completely lost in the amazingly written hauntings by ghosts.

I truly enjoyed the way these two characters come together even though they 'believe' they hate eachother to try and best a curse they find themselves dealing with.
The Ghost that Rory has in her apartment makes me sad I don't have a whimsy ghost living in my home. I also really find myself really wanting to join Rory and Ezra on one of their Ghost Tours of Boston, the way they just bounce of of eachother even before they realise their feelings is so contagious.

The ultimate comfy, cozy Halloween read with a sweet happily ever after. I loved the forced proximity setup and how naturally Rory and Ezra’s relationship progressed—their competitive snark with each other, and Ezra’s acceptance of Rory’s paranormal side was so heartwarming. Temperance’s sassy, fiery spirit (pun intended) was fun to see it pushing the pair together. Watching Rory’s mum put herself back out there added to the story, and I really appreciated how the main characters resolved their conflict. A wonderfully charming seasonal romance!

This was such an enjoyable read. I couldn't put it down and I read it in one sitting. I loved the author's writing style and I was hooked from the very first page. The story was easy to follow and had a great cast of characters. I highly recommend it and I look forward to reading more by the author.

I read Love and Other Conspiracies a few years ago and absolutely loved it so I was very excited to see that Mallory Marlowe had added another book to the series. In this book we follow our main characters start as enemies who are cursed to have to stay together or have incredibly bad luck.

As always I love the supernatural that Mallory Marlowe adds into her books and this is no different she really creates a world where you can believe it's all real with the backstories and evidence provided for ghosts and curses. Our main characters are very easy to relate to as someone now in my late 20's and still finding my place in work and life and having that self doubt within myself it was very nice to see how our MCs deal with it.

I would recommend this book but if you haven't read Love and Other Conspiracies yet, start with that as those characters do make a very nice reappearance here.

Entities to Lovers revolves around the two MCs who have been cursed and have no choice but to stay together or they will both have bad luck. I read this book in one sitting because I was immediately hooked. I found this to be humerus but also heartwarming. The self doubt the FMC faces is relatable but inspiring with how she chooses to move through it.
I would not consider this to be ‘Enemies to Lovers’ but more ‘Rivals to Lovers’.
This was my first time reading a Mallory Marlowe book but it will not be my last.

This was such a cute, cosy Halloween read and the perfect book to curl up with during spooky season (I read it in summer because I just could not wait till October).
I’m a sucker for enemies to lovers and even though the reason these two considered themselves enemies was a little silly, that honestly made it even more fun. Their banter was funny and had me smiling throughout the whole book. The playful back-and-forth between them gave the story so much charm and personality.
I loved the shop and tour setting so much. It felt spooky and atmospheric with just enough paranormal mystery to keep things interesting without losing the cosy feel.
The romance was so sweet. I found myself genuinely rooting for them to work through their own personal issues and find their way to each other.
Mallory Marlow created a story that was funny, heartwarming and delightfully spooky
Honestly my favourite of this series so far.

I adored Love and Other Conspiracies by Marlowe. I was so excited to see an ARC of Marlowe's available on Netgalley.

Aurora 'Rory' is a medium who can see and speak to ghosts. Ezra is a history professor and tour guide at Rory's mom's shop. They both hate how attracted they are to the other.

Interestingly, Rory and Ezra were more similar than they were different. It was a good change of pace from a typical opposites attract romance. I thoroughly enjoyed the build of their characters, of their relationship.

I loved the forced proximity due to a curse. So fun! However, I thought that there was a great opportunity to have the third act drama be external to Rory and Ezra's relationship. Instead, we got a third act breakup.

I thought the sex scenes were great. More romantic than you often get in contemporary romance in 2026.

Marlowe's writing is witty and engaging. I love their paranormal romances.

I loved the unique concept, the playful chemistry, and the way the story balanced supernatural elements with a sweet and engaging romance. Full of witty moments, unexpected connections, and magical chaos, this was such a fun escape.

This is such a fun romance book perfect to read during the spooky season as our main setting is Ye Olde Spirit Shoppe, complete with a helpful haunted doll and many oddities and curiosities.
The shop also runs ghost tours and rival guides, Rory and Ezra, clash so much that a ghost curses them. The curse forces them to stay close as each time they are apart something bad happens to them.

Rory is a spiritual medium and the daughter of the owner of Ye Olde Spirit Shoppe and Ezra is a professor by day and tour guide by night. Their journey from animosity to romance is a good one and I think they complemented each other well and helped each other work through their issues. There are a few little misunderstandings that get in the way plus a ghost obsessed with Rory since she was a child that they need to tackle, plus the other ghost that cursed them, so there’s plenty of plot.

I did struggle to connect with Rory at first because I didn’t under her animosity towards Ezra and it came off as a bit juvenile but I did like her as the story progressed.

I’m looking forward to the next book which will be all about Ezra’s brother. There was a sneak peek at the end of my copy and it seems like it’s gaming themed, which I love.
