Aaralyn Adams manages to pack an impressive number of twists into fewer than 20 pages. Just when I thought I knew where things were heading, the story took another unexpected turn.

My only criticism is that the plot felt rushed. The premise has enough substance to support a longer story, and I think giving the mystery a little more room to breathe would have made the reveals even more satisfying.

Even so, I really enjoyed it. I closed the book wishing there had been another 50 pages because the idea had so much potential, not because it needed filler.

Readers who enjoy fast-paced psychological thrillers that dive straight into the action and keep the surprises coming will likely enjoy this one.

Thank you to Aaralyn Adams, Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op, and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this ARC. All opinions are my own.

I did not know this is a 20 page short story. It was good, but I wish I had about 250 pages more of it.

This was the perfect short story. It kept me so interested and I actually really loved the way the story unfolded, though I wasn't too sure at first. Definitely will recommend!

Thank you to Aaralyn Adams and victory editing for this complimentary copy via Netgalley all opinions expressed are my own and are being left voluntarily.

I have read a few Aarylyn Adams books and each one has been short, punchy and a little quirky. At the end I always have a moment where I think wait what did I just read?!

In this offering LeAnna is having dinner with a guy she met on a dating app quickly, but things take a turn. I won't say any more but it was an action-filled short story at only 20 pages. The end left me gasping and then scratching my head as I'm almost not sure what I read!

Would love a longer offering, maybe novella length, to really get a feel for Aaralyn's writing style. An enjoyable short read I would recommend.

For such a short story, this managed to grab my attention almost immediately.

The premise is simple but intriguing: two people match on a dating app, hit it off and not long after, strange things begin happening. As the main character starts receiving unsettling messages, she quickly becomes convinced that her date is behind everything.

With only around 20 pages, there's not much I can say without spoiling the story. I will say that it started strong, kept me curious and ended with a twist that was both surprising and a little confusing.

Overall, this was a quick, entertaining read that I finished in just a few minutes. While I would have loved a little more development, it's a fun choice if you're looking for a very short psychological thriller with an unexpected ending.
