MURDER IS HER MASTERPIECE.

What use is a part-time serial killer who doesn't want to kill people? Once the terror of rude and irritating people everywhere, now Claire has lost her murderous mojo. Not even the overly chatty woman in the supermarket or the man who stole her neighbour's dog can motivate her to get out the zip ties.

Then a lucky break and a new job in the local pub gives Claire the perfect target: someone is spiking drinks and causing mayhem. But as Claire closes in on the culprit, punters start dropping like flies - and for once she's not the one doing the killing. Is someone else murdering on her patch? Claire has questions. And she's not afraid to use her hammer to get answers...

Best of the series so far! The local pub, the heart of the community, and the perfect place for a serial killer in a dry spell to rediscover her mojo...

I could rave on about these books all day - snarky and hilarious (murder aside) they always make me smile, and I'm often trying to anticipate who will be next. The incomer on her patch was a brilliant surprise, as well as some of the progression Claire made in her own understanding of herself.

As for the narrator, I already love Imogen Church; she's the perfect voice for Claire and, as usual, she absolutely nails these performances.

How excited was I for the return of Claire a serial killer and her beloved hammer. This book is full of the black humour of the first novel and this time Claire finds fertile ground in her local pub when she is going through a dry spell. Her observations on the world and the ‘ordininary’ people who exist within it had me chuckling out loud ( is it wrong to sometimes agree with the options of a serial killer?) The novel is brought to life by the fabulous narrator Imogen Church who makes the book just sparkle. I’m now just waiting for more from this fabulous writer and can’t wait to see what she does next. Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the audio of this novel in return for an honest review.

I loved those audio book! I didn't realise it was part of a series but the book works perfectly well as a standalone.
The characters are fabulously authentic and I love that Claire has given them all private nicknames - shiny haired Samira is a favourite!
Brilliant narrator getting all the personality of each character spot on.
