I was browsing though Netgalley and the cover of The Doll's Red Heart spoke to my soul. It wanted me to envelop myself in its pages and lose my shit over it!
Is this a debut? I can see no other books listed on Goodreads for this author? Either way it fast became a favourite and I wasn't ready for it to end any time soon.
Faridi's characters were vivid and richly drawn, and her world building strong. There was danger, suspense, and a layer of emotion.
Page turning perfection.

This story is about a strong female main character who is hell bent on finding out what happened to her missing sister and everything she was willing to do to get her back! I was hooked from the start and the author did a great job at story telling and world building! I would love to read more by Marjan Fairdi!
