What an exciting adventure! Can you imagine reading this to a class of, say, 3rd graders? They would definitely demand a sequel.

This is the story of Chris, who is bullied because of his cerebral palsy. He escapes the bullies by discovering an entrance to a place where sky pirates reign, and they're involved in a competition to find a treasure before the other pirates do.

There are plenty of ups and down for the crew, but the ending is quite satisfactory and opens the door for future quests.

Sky pirates automatically make a book sound about 75% more exciting. 😂

This was such a fun adventure! I really enjoyed the imaginative world, the action, and the sense of discovery throughout the story. It felt like the kind of book younger readers could completely lose themselves in.

There was plenty happening to keep the story moving, and I loved the creativity behind the world. A really enjoyable adventure!

I am reviewing this in regard to whether this is the sort of book that I would have in my classroom as an educator.

This book as great length chapters, which makes it easy to stop and start the book. It has a wonderful message, and having Chris as a child with cerebral palsy is a good way to teach children about what that is and maybe help them understand and become more rounded and sympathetic people.

There is a lot of humour in this book, but it's all age-appropriate. The story has a strong message which is very well woven in, and I really did enjoy reading this book, and can't wait to share it with my classes in the new academic year.
