If every day that goes by is a day closer to death, why do we still call it living?

Paul is tired.

Life is exhausting, and by life, he means surviving college, winning the bread for his mother and younger brother, and constantly hoping that Emilio will come back after ghosting them.

So when Paul mysteriously receives money from an anonymous source after bridging the gap his older brother made, he takes it as a sign that Emilio is slowly coming back to their lives.

But as secrets seep through the cracks and truths bleed through the folds, Paul spirals into thinking how much better off he will be if he chose to live somewhere else—the mansion of his dreams. After all, in the grand scheme of things, does anything really matter?
