I received a digital copy of *She Won’t Leave* by Rebecca Heath from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I really enjoyed this book. I liked that the story was about much more than just the murder mystery. While the mystery kept me turning the pages, I especially enjoyed the friendships that developed throughout the story. Those relationships added depth to the characters and made the book feel more personal and engaging.

I thought the story was interesting and kept me guessing, and I enjoyed the way the different pieces came together. My one disappointment was the ending. It left me with quite a few unanswered questions, and I would have liked a little more resolution.

That said, I can only hope those unanswered questions are intentional because there will be a follow-up book! Overall, *She Won’t Leave* was an enjoyable and engaging read, and I would definitely be interested in continuing the story if there is another book.

A mystery worthy of a Oscar. I felt unsettled and attentive to the plot. The twists are playing on my mind even though I finished the book.

You buy the ugliest house on a wealthy street, because you want to be safe. You didn't expect the previous owner to refuse to leave, or the noises at night and the strange people watching you.

Then the noises began, and the previous owner is now a missing person.
Will her past catch up with her, or the neighbours are not who they seem?

This is the first book in a while where I didn't know who would have done it. And because of that, the twists felt like blows! 🤯🤯

She Won’t Leave by Rebecca Heath is a new to me author and although it took me a little while to get into the story once I did I really enjoyed it. The suspense and twists kept me turning the pages and I’m definitely glad I stuck with it. I will definitely be reading more from this author and will be recommending it. Thank you to netgalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this great thriller.

i mean first off who wasn't thinking " what would i do in this situation?" Rebecca manages to swirl the unease through that premise from the start. Emma has just bought her dream home. she has the keys, she ready. more importantly she has nowhere else to go. Haven street has to be now her home. buuuuut the current or previous home owner is refusing to leave. ermmmm excuse me now???
Rhiannon the estate agent tasked with getting this sorted has her own needs for getting this sorted. its literally her jobs worth to make sure this standoff is resolved.
can you feel the prickle, the increasing unease? yeh, me too.
then we are four weeks later. Emma is in. okaaaaayyyy?
shes just putting her little girl down to nap and there is a knock on the door.
the police.
the seller is missing.
oooooh dear.
someone on Haven St isn't living up to the name.
every interaction manages to feel charged. every paranoid glance or whisper feels loaded with something else. is that rational? are we sucked in to this psychological thriller and there is nothing wrong? well, i was sure sucked in and definitely needed to know more which very quickly turned in to needing to know it all.
Rebecca builds tension so well in this book. the air feels thick with it. but what a great is it never feels overdone or overplayed.
the way we feel about Emma in her position as a single mother also somehow adds weight to how tight this book feels.
once again we get that very important lesson of all that glitters is not gold. as once again we are taught what these seemingly perfect streets are actually hiding. or could be hiding should i say?
this psychological is so brilliantly done. the way authors of these books put a veil of unease and unsettled feelings to these seemingly ordinary places and situation is just fab. and i was drawn all the way in, i actually almost did lean in at some points.
Rebecca manages to build on the emotional weight, the very human connections we all crave which adds depth here and also the mystery element. they weave and mix together to create such a cracking story. when those pieces all move together it feels as satisfying as if we had come up with it ourselves!
this is a story where you question everything and everyone from those on the street, to Emma and even Rhiannon.
who is not what they seem? who is not what they seem and has links to this particular event? the two might be different.
loved this book. i couldn't get enough. very very early on i knew in my head i had settled in for the whole thing even if outside me was telling myself id just read a little bit more. i knew, i knew there was no way i was leaving thi ook until i had read it all.

What an absolutely outstanding read. It was so full of twists and turns. I was hooked on every single page!

This was a unsettling and engaging story full of mystery and suspense. I really enjoyed it and it kept me engaged throughout. I read it in a day as I had to find out what would happen!

A new start for Emma and her daughter begins in the house she has bought for them both. But, buying a house should be easy right?? not in this case. What a read and on the edge of your seat situations. Compelling reading and when things can't get any worse. It invariably does.

I’m always unsure when reading something new from an author I haven’t read from before but Rebecca Heath will now be on my to read list of authors. The book is gripping and full of twists and turns and I found it very enjoyable. Recommended definitely 👍
