Description
Not all end-of-the-world stories are created equal. Miriam's Star is built on real science — adaptive optics, neutrino detection, gamma ray burst physics, and the documented mechanics of stellar mass collapse — because the universe doesn't need to be exaggerated to be terrifying.
When Dr. Roger Burke's controversial supernova prediction model identifies a nearby star in final collapse pointed directly at Earth, he has thirty days to make the world listen. The scientific establishment calls him a fraud. The woman he has loved his entire life isn't sure what to believe. And the clock is ticking...
Advance Praise
I was afraid that this book about astronomy might not keep my interest, but it started off quickly with Roger and Miriam as children and was light and easy to read. As it got into more of the astronomy it was still very interesting. I just had to finish it in one day. Loved it. - Amazon review rated five stars.
