It is a crime that a 6 star option does not exist. This is phenomenal. I am distraught that this trilogy has come to an end, tears were STREAMING down my face. I kept swiping my kindle like, NO there HAS to be more pages PLEASE. Pure magic, pure escapism, pure witty banter. The plot gets beautifully twisty and the battles are intense. Prepare the tissues, you are going to LOVE Dragon and the Dove. Sera and Ransom - you are my favourite couple in literature of all time.

Thank you so much to Simon and Schuster for the E-arc, you have made all my dreams come true. I will continue to convince every single person I know to read this beautiful series.

Reading this book was a WHOLE rollercoaster. There were moments where I was like, “I don’t like where this is going and I did NOT sign up for this,” and then a twist left me absolutely FLABBERGASTED. I genuinely had no idea where the story was going, and that made me super anxious, but somehow everything still felt exactly right.

I love love love Sera and all her fire (no pun intended). She’s fierce, determined, and so willing to give everything she has for the greater good, even when it threatens to completely break her. There’s something so poetic about watching her keep choosing to fight even when she’s crumbling.

My goldfish memory completely forgot about THAT little thing with Ransom at the end of book two, but now that everything is finally falling into place… UGH. MEAL. And then THAT TWIST??? DOUBLE MEAL.

I absolutely loved the bond between Sera and Ransom. THE DEVOTION. THE LOVE. I WANT WHAT THEY HAVE. Somebody please get me out of here.

And then there’s Val and Caruso. Oh my goddddd. Their chemistry and their stupid banter were SCRUMPTIOUS. I’m sorry but they absolutely stole the show for me in this book.

And I won’t say too much because spoilers, but I LOVED seeing some of the characters go through their transformations. Their new powers fitting their personalities so perfectly was such a satisfying detail, especially considering how much these characters have grown since the previous book. Like, the character arcs were so chef’s kiss.

And the build-up to the final battle was so rewarding. There was so much power, desperation, rage, and sacrifice. Everything was finally colliding, and it felt SO worth the journey.

I was genuinely terrified that the ending of this final book was going to emotionally obliterate me. Thank GOD it didn’t. I mean… it did. Obviously. But not on a I-will-need-at-least-five-business-days-to-function-properly scale. The ending just felt… right. Everything fell into place, and looking back at the journey from book one made the whole series feel so much more beautiful.

And then the epilogue… Am I sensing a new book? A new series? I see the vision, I see the hint, and I’m so down for whatever that is.

"The Dragon and The Dove" by Catherine Doyle is the third installment in her bestselling trilogy, "City of Fatome." A romantasy series, aimed at the YA age-group, this is an epic tale that can easily be enjoyed by adults aswell.

"The Dagger and The Flame" is the first book in the City of Fatome, where we met our two protagonists Sera and Ransom. Now, they belong to different factions or guilds within the city, with Sera being a member of the Cloaks, and Ransom a member of the infamous Daggers. Meaning that they are instant enemies, especially as Ransom is tasked with killing Sera.

In "The Rebel and the Rose", our enemies to lovers romance takes a turn when the king commands them to track down and kill The People’s Saint, Sera and Ransom find as they are once again on different sides but forced to work together - leading to plenty of humour and the banter that is a trademark of this series. And thankfully, the storyline avoids that dreaded 'middle book syndrome' and remains engaging throughout.

"The Dragon and The Dove" our heroes are facing a final and epic battle against the new People's Saint and his increasingly dark powers. While their new gifts, seem more likely to deal to their own destruction. As always there is plenty of snarky banter throughout, especially with Val and Caruso, who are an absolute delight in this book, their conversations frequently left me laughing out loud.
All in all, "The Dragon and The Dove" provides a truly satisfying conclusion to the sprawling adventure trilogy as the very future of the City of Fatome is endangered.

I fully recommend that you read the series.
