Description

In the spiritually over-caffeinated bubble of Boulder, Colorado, a gay atheist barista named Slinger is already struggling with the usual modern crises: existential dread, romantic confusion, and the soul-numbing grind that comes with working in a coffee shop tinged with burnt espresso and spiritual superiority. Then the demons arrive.

What begins as a bizarre supernatural disturbance quickly spirals into a full-scale unraveling of the celestial order. With Heaven in disarray, Hell on the move, and divine leadership temporarily out cold, Slinger must navigate a divine disaster involving ancient forces, bureaucratic dysfunction, and a fight he is wildly unqualified for.

Armed with little more than sarcasm, caffeine, his eccentric coffee shop friends, his possibly straight hippie crush, and a mysterious rabbi who may know more than he's letting on, Slinger must face his own demons, actual demons, and the terrifying possibility that his abandoned faith might actually matter.

Because if he can't stop the apocalypse, humanity is going to Hell.
