Description

Ryder Hartley is a rockstar whose career is unraveling faster than a cheap guitar string. His concerts are flopping, his creativity is shot, and worst of all, a weekend tryst with a U.S. senator’s wife results in a public ass-kicking on stage. For his own safety, his manager exiles his best client to Palmer, Alaska, where he’s put to work as a farmhand beneath the vast northern sky.

Ryder trades guitar solos for seed bags, stadiums for open fields, and headlines for hard work. He initially resents this forced hiatus, but Alaska has a way of cutting people back to what matters. Guided by a wise farmer, challenged by a sharp-witted medical student with a fiddle and a guarded heart, and soothed by music under the midnight sun, Ryder begins to heal.

Alaskan Humble Pie is a sweeping romance about redemption, community, and the courage it takes to grow into who you were meant to be—when the noise finally fades and the true north reveals itself.

She is a three-time retiree: from politics, commercial banking, and financial analysis. She and her husband Rudi reside in Anchorage, Alaska and often fly in their single engine airplane in search of remote streams to fish for rainbow trout and silver salmon.

"Alaskan Humble Pie is an energetic and good-hearted novel about learning that a successful life needs more than applause. It needs useful work, honest relationships, and people who’ll tell you when you’re acting like an idiot." -- Literary Titan
