Description
A cozy magical novel about second chances, found family, and discovering that sometimes the place you've been searching for has been searching for you.
Perfect for readers of The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches, The Lost Bookshop, The Spellshop, Before the Coffee Gets Cold, and gentle Japanese and Korean healing fiction.
Verity never meant to stay.
She came to Wattle Lane for one reason: to sell the little apothecary her great-aunt Marigold had left behind.
Sign the papers.
Settle the estate.
Return to the safe, carefully ordered life she'd built by never asking for too much.
But Wattle Lane doesn't appear to just anyone.
Hidden from the rest of the world, the little cobblestone lane quietly reveals itself only to those who need it most.
And whether Verity is ready to admit it or not, the lane has been waiting for her.
Behind the counter of Marigold's Apothecary, Verity discovers a gift she's spent her whole life trying to bury—a quiet knowing that reveals exactly what someone needs to hear, even when the truth is difficult to speak. It's a gift that once cost her love, friendship, and the version of herself everyone else found easier to understand.
As she begins to know the keepers of Wattle Lane—a gentle teahouse owner who remembers too little, a young woman who trusts animals more than people, and two elderly sisters who seem to know every secret the lane has ever kept—Verity slowly uncovers the mystery Marigold left behind.
An unsent letter.
A sister who vanished eleven years ago.
And a promise only Verity can fulfil.
Filled with comforting magic, unforgettable characters and quiet moments that linger long after the final page, The Apothecary on Wattle Lane is a story about finding home, embracing the parts of yourself you've hidden away, and discovering that healing rarely happens all at once—it happens one small act of kindness at a time.

A note from the author
I created Wattle Lane because I was searching for books that left me feeling lighter, calmer and more hopeful.
As someone with ADHD, I often found myself wanting stories that soothed my busy mind rather than filled it with suspense, heartbreak or emotional exhaustion. I loved cozy fantasy, but I struggled to find enough books gentle enough to read before bed—stories that felt like a deep breath instead of another emotional rollercoaster.
So I wrote one.
Every Wattle Lane novel is intentionally designed to be a comforting reading experience, with short chapters, gentle pacing, soft chapter endings and uplifting magical realism that leaves you feeling peaceful rather than overwhelmed.
Whether you're reading for ten quiet minutes while the kids nap, during your train ride home, with a warm cup of tea on a rainy afternoon, or curled up in bed at the end of a long day, I hope Wattle Lane feels like a place you'll always want to return to.
Welcome to the lane.
The kettle is on.
