Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing this book in exchange for an honest review.
This is a cute story with great illustrations. I wanted to read this because my mom did the same thing for an injured buck. I'm glad to read something that shows compassion for wild animals that has a good ending.

This was such a sweet story! I loved loved loved how they took care of the elk and he started recognizing his name that they unintentionally gave him. Such a great story of caring for animals and developing a relationship with them while also allowing them to stay wild and return to their families.
