What if Beethoven's final symphony opened the gates of Hell?

When the queen of Hell murders Ludwig Van Beethoven and forces him to become her court composer, he wants nothing more than to return to his old life. But he learns that all musicians, by eternal law, go to hell after death. He teams up with a group of underworld revolutionaries in a plot to save himself and all musicians from eternal anguish in the fiery abyss.

The devil breaks eternal law when she forces Beethoven to become her court musician without giving him the right of free agency. Using a technicality from a book called The Codex Pandemonium, a group of four damned musicians who call themselves The Breakers convince him to force the devil into a high-stakes competition of musical composition. With the greatest musicians of all time choosing sides, the clock is racing. Will they break the musicians out and return them to Earth in time?
